PURPOSE STATEMENT
f'real foods is a growing frozen beverage company that designs and markets great-tasting milkshakes, smoothies and frappes. f'real f'natics (people who love our products!) freshly blend our delicious beverages in a patented blender that can be found in almost 20,000 locations across North America, and now internationally. A wholly-owned subsidiary of Rich Products Corporation, our company has grown by leaps and bounds, yet f'realies (team members) still maintain our entrepreneurial spirit and culture.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES/OUTCOMES
The Director of Consumer Marketing reports to the VP of Marketing and will be responsible for developing and leading the execution of the brand and product strategy. This role develops the short and long-term consumer communication and product plans and leads the cross functional team in executing all marketing initiatives. The Director of Consumer Marketing works closely with the Director of Customer Marketing to deliver a cohesive consumer and customer experience for f'real. This person is a critical strategic leader in the organization and works closely with all levels in the company.
Job Responsibilities
Category, Consumer and Competitive Insights
Leverage available syndicated, third party, and internal sales data to develop business insights and strategies
Plan and execute both qualitative and quantitative research to develop product and business consumer insights
Understand our competition and define offensive and defensive strategies to promote f'real's leadership
Identify, anticipate, and translate consumer desires into sound product strategies
Marketing Strategy and Plans
Develop long term strategy for clear category leadership and profitable business growth
Lead development of Marketing Plans including insights, learnings, objectives, strategies and tactics
Brand & Communication
Direct our brand positioning, guidelines, architecture and strategy
Owns our licensing/co-brand strategy
Determine what mediums in which to communicate our brand - how, when, where and why
Develop and execute our national f'real marketing calendar, including key themes and consumer programming - which will also drive our customer-focused support
Includes digital, social and screens
Manage the creative team and their articulation of the brand strategy and positioning in creative executions
Portfolio Strategy & Execution
Establish our short and long-term innovation portfolio strategy and develop a robust portfolio and new product pipeline
Ensure that product, formulation & packaging design meet strategic guidelines
Define our proposition - base portfolio /flavors and LTOs
Own our packaging - the creative look and feel and the execution across segments and flavors
Lead cross-functional team to deliver all product and packaging initiatives
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/EXPERIENCE
Qualifications
10+ years of brand management experience in consumer-packaged goods or retail
Managerial experience - at least 2 years managing 2 or more direct reports
BS/BA degree required, preferably in Marketing, Communications or related field
MBA preferred
Convenience store experience a plus
Outstanding oral and written communication skills
Excellent analytical skills
