At Salesloft, as the Director, Marketing Operations you will be responsible for building the roadmap for Marketing technology, customizing it to the needs of the business and users as well as leading process development, marketing analytics and building a dependable engine for campaign execution.

On a day-to-day basis, you will be responsible for delivering the backbone of Marketing ensuring that Salesloft’s marketing reaches its audiences, specifically you will:

  • Define the Marketing Operations vision and roadmap that empowers campaign owners to make data driven decisions
  • Ensure marketing costs are tracked correctly to enable effective reporting on ROI
  • Lead the marketing business with data insights for stakeholders across sales, marketing and finance to highlight what is working and what can be improved
  • Work with the Product organization on using product usage insights to inform better customer marketing
  • Ensure processes are designed, documented, communicated and followed in a way that minimizes bad or incomplete data
  • Ensure that SLAs are built, communicated and agreed to both within marketing and the wider business
  • Negotiate software technology contracts with vendors and manage the procurement and renewal processes
  • Manage, build, and lead a high functioning team by coaching and developing existing members and hiring where talent gaps are identified
  • Track and report on the the entire marketing funnel including volume, conversion between stages and velocity whilst be able to analyze performance by geography, sales segment and persona

You will be critical in creating strategy, process and the framework for campaigns to demonstrate Salesloft as #1 in the marketplace.

THE TEAM:

Our Salesloft’s Marketing team is comprised of seasoned and up-and-coming demand generation specialists, inbound SDRs, product marketers and industry leaders who are all aligned on one vision and mission:

The Marketing team consists of results-oriented SaaS marketing professionals defining and owning the sales engagement market. THE SKILL SET:

  • 10+ years in a Marketing, Operations or Sales Operations role at a B2B software or technology company (SaaS business model is a plus)
  • 3+ years of management experience in software 
  • Strong demonstrable experience of our core MarTech stack of:
    • Salesforce (5+ years)
    • Marketo (5+ years)
    • Drift, Salesloft & Wordpress experience highly desirable
  • Experience building SLAs and managing to them across the business
  • Experience with Marketo and Salesforce sync and troubleshooting issues around it
  • Highly analytical and strategic
  • Capable of managing multiple projects and deadlines
  • Outstanding planning, organizational and project management skills
  • Demonstrated experience designing, maintaining and continually delivering an innovative marketing technology stack
  • Proven experience with change management and organizational transformation
  • Established set of best practices for campaign design, nurturing frameworks, orchestration and attribution
  • BA/BS or equivalent relevant experience
  • Works on complex issues where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth knowledge of the company
  • Participates in corporate development of methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for projects, programs, and people
  • Ensures budgets and schedules meet corporate requirements

WITHIN ONE MONTH, YOU’LL:

  • Attend Salesloft’s New Hire Orientation where you will learn our Salesloft story and understand what makes our “Lofters” unique 
  • Begin 1:1’s with your manager, understand your 30-60-90 plan, meet & shadow current members of the Salesloft team, and delve into your territory 
  • Set your OKRs (Objectives and Key Results) with your manager and develop an action plan to achieve them
  • Assess current state of marketing tech stack and familiarize yourself with all of our systems

WITHIN THREE MONTHS, YOU’LL:

  • Audit Salesloft’s existing Marketing Technology infrastructure
  • Audit and document Salesloft’s existing Marketing Operations processes and SLAs
  • Analyze marketing and sales data to identify opportunities in our sales pipeline funnel
  • Build working relationships with your counterparts in Revenue Operations
  • Begin working on the next generation of Marketing attribution reporting 

WITHIN SIX MONTHS, YOU’LL:

  • Create your vision for the future of the Salesloft marketing tech stack
  • Build your personal OKRs
  • Measured and analyzed success and be able to present key findings to leadership
  • Continue to be innovative, creating new programs and process that enable Salesloft to be #1 in the sales engagement market
