Job Description
Team: Business Development
This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Director, Mobile & Converged Services in the United States.
This role is a high-impact leadership opportunity at the center of a growing mobile business, focused on building, scaling, and optimizing a competitive MVNO offering alongside converged broadband and digital services. The Director will own the end-to-end mobile product strategy, from pricing, packaging, and onboarding flows to activation performance and customer lifecycle optimization. This is a builder-oriented position, requiring deep hands-on experience in launching and operating mobile services rather than managing within highly structured carrier environments. The role also plays a critical part in shaping commercial partnerships with MVNEs, MNOs, and ecosystem providers to ensure scalable and efficient delivery of mobile capabilities. Operating in a fast-paced, resource-efficient environment, the Director will drive cross-functional execution across product, marketing, engineering, and operations teams. The position also focuses on accelerating subscriber growth, improving conversion and retention metrics, and strengthening converged offerings that integrate mobile with broadband and connected home services. This is a strategic yet execution-heavy role for a leader who thrives on building and scaling telecom products from the ground up.
Accountabilities
- Own the end-to-end mobile product portfolio, including pricing, packaging, promotions, device compatibility, and onboarding experiences across eSIM, physical SIM, and BYOD flows.
- Design and optimize activation journeys, port-in processes, customer onboarding, and lifecycle management to maximize conversion and retention.
- Define the mobile product vision and multi-quarter roadmap, ensuring alignment with convergence strategies across broadband, streaming, and connected home services.
- Build business cases, financial models, and investment recommendations to support product decisions and growth initiatives.
- Lead commercial relationships with MVNEs, MNOs, and device ecosystem partners, including negotiations and roadmap alignment.
- Drive mobile performance metrics such as attach rate, activation success, ARPU, churn, and port-in completion.
- Identify market trends and competitive dynamics to ensure product differentiation and sustained growth.
- Partner with cross-functional teams (Marketing, Sales, CX, Engineering, Billing, Digital) to ensure successful product launches and operational readiness.
- Serve as the internal voice of the mobile customer, ensuring product decisions reflect customer needs and market expectations.
- 7+ years of experience in product management or product leadership within wireless, telecom, or closely related industries.
- Direct experience operating an MVNO or working within MVNE/MNO environments with hands-on responsibility for mobile services.
- Proven track record of building or scaling a mobile subscriber base in a competitive market.
- Strong experience with eSIM provisioning, digital activation flows, BYOD onboarding, and mobile lifecycle management.
- Demonstrated success managing commercial relationships with carriers, MVNEs, and ecosystem partners.
- Strong financial modeling and analytical skills, with the ability to build and defend business cases independently.
- Deep understanding of telecom product ecosystems, including mobile and broadband convergence strategies.
- Excellent cross-functional leadership and communication skills, with the ability to influence without direct authority.
- Strong preference for experience in high-growth, resource-constrained environments or converged connectivity businesses.
- Highly proactive, execution-driven mindset with strong problem-solving and operational ownership capabilities.
- Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance, effective from day one.
- 401(k) retirement plan with 100% company match up to 5% of eligible compensation starting immediately.
- Paid time off including vacation, holidays, personal, and sick leave.
- Life insurance coverage for employees and dependents.
- Tuition reimbursement program (up to $5,250 annually).
- Group legal services and identity theft protection benefits.
- Employee recognition programs and career advancement opportunities.
- Free or discounted company services where applicable (including cable and premium content access in eligible areas).
- Collaborative, growth-oriented environment with strong internal mobility and leadership visibility.
