We are not actively recruiting in Colorado, Rhode Island or Washington.

Overall Purpose
This position directs and leads the Information Technology Network Engineering team. This includes the planning, engineering, deployment and health of the on-premise and cloud network capabilities that support Early Warning Services. The position requires technical knowledge in the area of wide-area, local-area, data center, wireless, network virtualization and software defined networks, DNS, firewalls, load balancing, automation; voice, contact center and related technology. The position will engage and collaborate with peer Architecture, PMO, Information Technology and Security organizations.
Essential Functions
- Directs the development, deployment and execution of strategic infrastructure technology programs and initiatives that support the EWS corporate strategy
Develops technology roadmaps that align with the Information Technology architectural vision. - Ensures the high quality engineering that ensures the availability, performance and security of all network capabilities and leverages metrics to manage and continuously improve service levels
- Prepares technology life cycle refresh programs to ensure that network capabilities are kept at current levels and prevent technology obsolescence
- Utilizes automation tools and technologies to deploy network capabilities
- Data Center migrations/consolidations, colocation, telecom/carrier contract management
- Provides effective leadership direction, performance feedback and mentoring which will result in an engaged and high performing team
- Interacts with customers, vendor partners and auditors in a professional and collaborative manner
- Meets or exceeds customers' expectations and ensures that programs and projects are delivered on time and within budget
- Support the company's commitment to risk management and protecting the integrity and confidentiality of systems and data
Minimum Qualifications
- Education and experience typically obtained through completion of a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Math or Physical Science
- 10 or more years related work experience and 5 or more years of leadership experience in applicable infrastructure roles
- The position requires technical knowledge in the area of wide-area, local-area, data center, wireless, network virtualization and software defined networks, DNS, firewalls, load balancing, automation; voice, contact center and related technology.
- Experience with various types of network and voice infrastructure to include cloud-based platforms
- Demonstrated experience engineering networking capabilities both on-premise and in cloud
- Experience leading diverse high performing teams
- Extensive experience in enterprise platforms that are designed for scalability, resilience and performance
- Experience working in an agile environment and DevOps teams
- Understanding and experience supporting disaster recovery and business continuity processes.
- ITIL service management experience or certification
- Excellent verbal and written skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills are required with a demonstrated ability to support complex organizational relationships
- Experience in analyzing technical issues and making recommendations for corrective action.

Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field
- Professional level certification in switching, routing, firewalls and/or load balancer technologies

Physical Requirements
Working conditions consist of a normal office environment. Work is primarily sedentary and requires extensive use of a computer and involves sitting for periods of approximately four hours. Work may require occasional standing, walking, kneeling and reaching. Must be able to lift 10 pounds occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently. Requires visual acuity and dexterity to view, prepare, and manipulate documents and office equipment including personal computers. Requires the ability to communicate with internal and/or external customers.
