Our new Client Director will be a self-motivated, well-connected individual capable of identifying, pursuing, and winning strategic and tactical new business opportunities. The Client Director will use their current depth of experience working at a creative and/or design agency along with a swiftly acquired knowledge of the Designit network and local studio history, case studies, current business, and strategic direction to contribute to the growth and financial success of the Americas region. You will be a first-class operator who is able to lead, collaborate, and drive new business opportunities with practice leaders across the Agency.

- Help to set the vision for, define, and develop new business strategies tailored to the needs of Designit
- Proactively initiate new client relationships and opportunities, keeping abreast of latest developments within the industry
- Provide actionable insight into companies identified in Designit’s target client/prospect list(s)
- Focus on outbound business development
- Follow up on and prioritize new business leads and identify organic growth opportunities, as appropriate
- Drive responses to RFI and RFPs in an innovative, flawless, and efficient manner
- Lead internal new business meetings and agency updates whilst also ensuring alignment with Executive Client Director and leadership on all briefs and opportunities:
- Aligning on the business challenge / the ask
- Aligning on the strategy & the brief
- Reviewing the work
- Attending the final client-ready walkthrough
- Create capabilities presentations and other marketing materials – fully leveraging the Designit narrative and assets and integrating Americas-specific needs
- Liaise with Americas Growth Lead to coordinate internal resources within Americas and cross-studio globally (when applicable) to develop client proposals, working in partnership with the assigned Project Manager
- Ensure alignment with program management to set clear critical paths, project deliverables, milestones, timetables, and calendars
- Maintain pipeline and prospects information within Salesforce and update reporting as necessary
- Help to establish outreach and nurture relationships with industry pitch consultants, ensuring Designit remains top of mind for pitch shortlists
- Partner with leadership and Global Communications on effective go-to market strategies to help raise the agency’s local/regional profile – including (but not limited to) executive speaking engagements, thought leadership editorial, industry events/organization outreach, relationship-building, etc.
We would like you to have...
- Previous business development experience within an agency or creative/design consultancy
- 7-10+ years of agency experience, preferably with 4-5+ years of business development experience
- Solid track record of developing successful relationships with internal and external partners
- Communicates effectively and with influence at all levels and across all functions
- Confirmed and proven record of closing major accounts
- Strategic decision-making toward achieving objectives and maximizing business performance
- Understands industry developments, market trends, and their impact on business
- Strong client-facing communication skills with the ability to quickly understand client needs
- The ability to interface and negotiate with senior client executives
- Moderate ability to design and build presentation decks in Keynote, PowerPoint, and Google Slides preferred
- Self-starter: Someone who thrives in a deadline-oriented environment and is highly organized. You have the ability to manage multiple tasks with ease, strategically prioritize them, and analyze opportunities to make recommendations on approaches
- Design and technical curiosity, with sufficient aptitude to express Designit capabilities and service offerings
- A passion for and understanding of what great work looks like

Compensation Range: $124,000 - $176,000
This compensation range is indicative of the role. Compensation offered is on the basis of evaluation during interview process, the candidates range and depth of experience, business and market financials and internal pay parity. This role comes with a variable pay component based on performance.
