Job Description Summary:
The Director of New Hire Learning has overall responsibility and accountability to provide leadership, and support for the effective and innovative development and delivery of enterprise new hire learning actitives and programming. The Enterprise Learning & Development (eL&D) mission is to empower a culture of learning that enables business impact, team performance and individual growth at PayPal. The eL&D team does this through Fostering Values & Culture; Enabling Business Strategy & Employee Performance; and Continuously Improving L&D Operations.
The Director of New Hire Learning has overall responsibility and accountability to provide leadership, and support for the effective and innovative development and delivery of enterprise new hire learning actitives and programming. In partnership with the other eL&D domains, along with HR and key stakeholders, the Director of New Hire Learning will provide oversight for the successful deployment and new hire learning (design and delivery), including Annual Training (with SME oversight from Risk Leadership), and site based learning program support for early tenure employees and general onboarding learning guidance.
This role will be responsible for leading the new hire learning team to discover, design and excute the desired learning programs that are continously relevant for non-executives integrating into PayPal at all levels and across business functions. This role will further focus on continuously improving the efficiency and effectiveness of learning programs and will report to the Global Head of Learning & Development.
Job Responsibilities:
• Create a comprehensive learning strategy and roadmap for all new hires; gain buy-in from stakeholders across HR and various business functions to drive inclusion and adoption
• Implement a new, modern new hire and onboarding strategy, approach, process, and protocol that reflects best practice, drives performance, and advances culture
• Enhance new hire learning experience to introduces employees to PayPal's culture, performance expectations, and values through unique experiences and interactions by cultivating a sense of belonging
• Lead and manage a new hire learning strategy that proactively addresses business needs by partnering with leaders to create and execute an effective organizational design that attracts, develops, and retains high performing employees focused on results
• Serve as liaison between eL&D and business led L&D teams to ensure all new hire and onboarding experiences are seamlessly delivered
• Own the development, implementation, and evolution of new hire learning by creating a seamless employee experience across the organization
• Cultivate strong and collaborative relationships with HR and business leadership to identify and understand opportunities, key concerns, and create solutions to promote and drive a strong culture of trust and commitment and that inspires consensus and leads to efficient change and improved business practices
• Work with wider shared services team to provide best in class strategic business partnering and responsive, quality training and development support to all employees by sharing knowledge and best practices and provision of expert advice/consultative guidance for learning programs to enable the organization to be more effective and consistent
