Job Description

The Director of New Product Strategy develops, maintains, and updates the new product strategy process, initiating and continuing the new product “Concept to Customer” process to ensure a group of new concepts/products are available to be introduced and commercialized annually. Success in this role is measured by new product launch bookings generated in the first-year post launch as well as ongoing growth of the business line.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Creates and manages the new product strategy for our various product solutions to ensure a successful initial launch
  • Iterates on the designated product based on market and internal feedback as well as anticipates the next product expansion opportunity to increase sales and provide upsell opportunities for the business line.
  • Collaborates cross-functionally to drive the Concept to Customer process to bring new products to market.
  • Identifies new product opportunities by analyzing and defining the total market, market share, competitor market share, and available market share by product market.
  • Provides leadership and support, in partnership with the product owner team, for the design, development, refinement, and implementation of new products
  • Develops, maintains and updates new product development “Concept to Customer” process to ensure a group of new concepts/products are available to be introduced and commercialized on an annual basis to include:
  • Ideation Capture
  • Market research and testing
  • Product definition and value proposition
  • Pricing strategy
  • Alpha client identification and commitment
  • Full Commercialization/GTM launch
  • Develops support model in partnership with Customer Success leaders to ensure optimal delivery and customer retention of the product
  • Responsible for Performance Evaluation Analysis post launch. Activities to include:
  • Monthly meetings with key internal stakeholders to review important metrics as defined based on maturity of product
  • Regular meetings with key sales resources to keep them abreast of product releases, iterations, hear additional market needs
  • Post launch ROI validation – sales and cost performance validation

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Experience working with products/teams offering healthcare SaaS solutions
  • Ability to build compelling business use cases and requirements
  • Excellent written, verbal and presentation communication skills
  • Proven ability to create compelling value propositions from complex, technical product offerings
  • Experience interfacing with executive level (e.g. CMO, CDO) on the client side
  • Comfortable garnering market feedback and translating into product and business strategy
  • Excellent project management skills, including proficiency in related software (e.g. Asana)
  • Attend prospect meetings, client meetings, conferences and industry events, as well as travel to the Atlanta office (for remote employees) which may include approximately 5 days of travel per month

Education/Professional Certifications or Licenses Required:

  • BA/BS required, RN preferred
  • 5-10+ years of aligned experience in a client-facing role, product management role
  • Experience in product marketing a plus
