This team establishes and grows revenue-driving partnerships at Policygenius. We creatively and relentlessly figuring out new ways to drive the business forward, and our work sits at the heart of Policygenius’ plans for continued expansion.
The Director of Account Expansion will be responsible for playing a key role in helping shape and build the team to reach its revenue and growth goals via a combination of onboarding new strategic partnerships and managing a base of existing partners. The Director of Account Expansion will report to the SVP of Business Development.
In this role, you will…
- Scale and oversee the expansion of partners after they are acquired and onboarded
- Hire, manage, and develop team members (recruiting, onboarding, and training, to performance management and leadership development)
- Be responsible for driving adoption and ongoing activity within partners
- Maintain cross-functional relationships between the business development team, partner success , operations, finance, and product to ensure seamless processing of partner businessÂ
- Shape the account expansion team to grow and scale profitably with the business development team
- Design and execute partner business reviews, partner pricing reviews
- Develop strong relationships with key partners
- Establish, track, and report on KPIs, while routinely meeting or exceeding goals
We’d love to hear from you if…
- You have 8+ years of account expansion/management or equivalent experience, from initial set up through launch/early account management; ideally with experience from a high-growth B2B start-upÂ
- You have a track record of setting strategic plans for a channel or business unit and successfully leading a team to execute on themÂ
- You’re comfortable working closely with the business development team to keep the deal pipeline flowing
- You display strong interpersonal skills and can leverage your positive relationships with others to gain buy-in and achieve cross-functional business results
- You have a passion for developing your team members and previous experience managing them through the intricacies of the sales cycleÂ
- You have advanced analytical and problem-solving skills; the ability to understand complex business and product strategiesÂ
- You have a deep aptitude for numbers, passion for accuracy, and exceptional attention to detail
- You have a proven track record of meeting deadlines and collaborating with stakeholders across multiple teams
- Previous experience navigating complex insurance business situations a plus
- Salesforce experience a plus
