Director of Accounting Operations

Description

Zywave is searching for a hands-on Director of Accounting Operations to lead and develop our teams handling post-sale customer contract support, order management, billing, cash application, A/R collections and revenue recognition. In this role, the Director of Accounting Operations will be responsible for optimizing commercial and accounting processes to support the growth of a best in class insure tech SaaS company.

What you will be doing

• Provide daily hands-on management oversight of all revenue cycle transactional accounting functions and develop teams responsible for:
  • Order Mgmt. & Billing
  • Cash Application & Collections
  • Post-Sale Customer Contract Support & Admin
  • Revenue Recognition (ASC 606)
• Create and maintain process documentation using best practices for accessibility, usability and accuracy
• Prepare and review A/R and collections reports to identify payer and other collections issues
• Partner with Revenue Technology team to improve system processes and controls necessary to optimize revenue cycle accounting operations and compliance with US GAAP (ASC 606)
• Maintain great relationships with business partners (Deal Desk, Sales, Legal, Sales Operations, and Customer Service & Support) and accounting peers to address accounting and operational needs
• Lead efforts to consolidate end-to-end order to cash activities across multiple acquired systems and legal entities onto standard company systems, processes and policies
• Support M&A integration efforts; create repeatable, streamlined process for integrating acquired business into the Company's revenue cycle accounting systems
• Other duties as assigned

Factors for Success

• Bachelor or master degree in accounting or finance
• +15 years of progressive leadership roles managing staff
• Experience working in in the revenue accounting operations of a SaaS company preferred
• Work in a fast-paced environment while juggling multiple initiatives/projects
• Quick learner and highly self-motivated
• Highly organized with attention to detail and deadlines
• Ability to interact with customers and resolve contract and billing inquiries
• Strong solution-oriented leadership skills with a demonstrated ability to influence management and contributors at all levels of the organization and across functions
• Experience of working within a complex US corporate with international subsidiary structure highly advantageous
• Have experience in MS Office Suite, Salesforce.com, Merchant Payment Systems, Customer Support Case Management Systems, and Intacct
