ABOUT THE ROLE

The Director of Advanced Manufacturing Technology will establish and execute on our roadmap to scale and commercialize ADVANO's Silicon material at a speed that meets the market demand of Silicon and allows ADVANO to become a global Silicon leader in the market. This key leader has a do-whatever-it-takes attitude, thrives in a start-up environment, and can deliver project deliverables on time. 

KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Collaborate with ADVANO's management team in creating a long-term commercialization roadmap and future vision to ensure manufacturing readiness
  • Identify, evaluate, qualify, and commission production equipment and facilities that will enable steep product ramps to ambitious volumes
  • Test and qualify ADVANO materials with a potential customer
  • Define and own aggressive goals for safety, quality, performance, delivery, and cost for all ADVANO technologies
  • Work with R&D during material development to ensure product manufacturability & scalability
  • Drive new technologies from lab to commercialization
  • Develop safe handling and operational practices at pilot scale and beyond
  • Work alongside business development to establish and deliver company production schedule
  • Contribute to building an A+ quality team that will allow us to move forward to commercialization
  • Establish and manage strong relationships with all key equipment suppliers, key supply-chain partners, and 3rd party collaborators

 REQUIRED

  • Masters in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or similar field
  • 10+ Years of industry experience in leading manufacturing and operations
  • Demonstrated experience with taking a product from concept to commercialization
  • Demonstrated experience with leading teams of 10+ direct reports on a daily basis
  • Ability to analyze and operate complex systems for customization, test, and qualification 
  • Ability to interpret process drawings, electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, product/performance specifications and other systems integration technical data 

Preferred Education and Experience 

  • Experience in bulk material, slurry, and powders handling 
  • Knowledge of nanomaterials and wet coating processes 
  • Professional Engineering certification
  • Lean Six Sigma Blackbelt certification
  • ISO 9000, 9001 certifications
