Director of Animation
Job Description

We're a dynamic group of creative directors, video directors, animators, editors, composers, designers, producers, writers, and strategists all under one roof: our 70k square foot studio located in Norwood, MA.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead Motion Designer for broadcast, B2B, B2C, activations, social media and online campaigns
- Ability to execute large scale multi-screen event show opener videos/animations, and graphic packages.
- Work with creative directors, art directors, producers, and account leads to establish the scope of work, budget and production schedule for animation projects.
- Mentor and manage our growing in-house animation team
- Eagerness to experiment and participate in the production of projects based in our large sound stage with LED volume
- Exploring new tech to improve workflows and expand our capabilities
- Creative bridge between Animation and Project teams; Establishes and maintains workflow best practices for the Animation department.
Requirements
- Adobe After Effects
- Fluent in the Adobe Design suite (Photoshop, Illustrator)
- Proficiency in at least one of the major 3D software programs:
Autodesk 3D Studio Max, Cinema 4D (and Redshift), Maya - Nice-to-haves include: Unreal Engine experience, AR/VR, projection mapping, motion tracking, Red Giant suite
- At least 10 years of experience as an animator; 5+ years as an animation/motion director, management experience a plus
- Strong communication and presentations skills; this is a client-facing role
- Must have a great design sensibility.
- Able to translate complex processes into clearly understood sequences
- Ability to push a client's brand into new and innovative ways
- Always staying current with design and technology trends.
- Cramer has a hybrid working environment, this role requires 3 - 4 days in-office in Norwood, MA
