Location: We are a remote-first company. This role can be based anywhere in the US.

Position Overview

As the Director of Asset Liability Management you will be responsible for ensuring that all Interest Rate Risk across the company is appropriately captured, measured and managed. You will also be setting & driving strategy for managing IRRand ensuring internal requirements/targets are met. 

Primary Responsibilities Include

• Identifying, measuring and managing all IRR across the organization
• Determining hedge strategies within risk appetite, including evaluation of alternative strategies and assessment of outcomes across a range of market and behavioral scenarios
• Working with Business and Risk teams to ensure accurate and appropriate modeling of customer behavior through the changing interest rate environment
• Driving approval processes for hedging through appropriate channels and provide interface between execution function, the line of businesses, capital markets and ALCO
• Maintaining outlook re. market and economic developments impacting customer behavior and future earnings profile of the firm’s assets
• Ensuring the ALM management frameworks programs remain current and cognizant of these developments
• Driving forward business engagement, supporting the business and senior management with live issues in the changing market environment and new strategic growth initiatives 
• Developing reporting and analytical frameworks for risk measurement and asset valuation to support all primary objective, including collaboration on sourcing and implementation of associated automation initiatives 

What you bring to the team

• Degree / MSc in a quantitative discipline
• Exceptional Grasp of Treasury matters, with an in-depth understanding of IRR including measurement techniques and hedging strategies
• Experience in Treasury, Risk or Finance function; preferable experience working in risk management or quantitative role, or within a regulatory/consultancy capacity
• Minimum 7 years experience in Risk Management, Finance, Treasury, or other control functions within a financial services setting
• Prior experience related to Interest Rate Risk /ALM management or Treasury products
• Knowledge of balance sheet management, capital markets and banking products, and financial systems
• Proven track record of answering data-driven business questions using analytics, and then communicating results to non-technical and/or C-Suite audiences
• High level of attention to detail and accuracy

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience building data automation tools using python, SQL, or R
