Director of Brand Communications
Job Description
What you will do here:
Direct strategy and innovative objectives for marketing initiatives encompassing social media, brand awareness, marketing content and public relations. Deliver an integrated approach to marketing programs focusing on mission, vision, values, and strategy. Drive complex marketing initiatives ensuring the teams are collaborating with stakeholders and driving to established KPIs. Develop strong relationships with all internal and external partners to ensure an exceptional experience.
Provide leadership and coaching to the brand marketing team. Focused on development and skill building in the team's respective areas.
Serve as the Communications point of contact and as the spokesperson for Desert Financial fulfilling Public Relations obligations as needs arise to include writing press releases, pitching, and developing and maintaining a crisis communication plan. Working with PR agencies and other stake holders
Oversee social media presence, channels, campaigns, and programs to ensure consistent brand design and messaging and goal, KPIs, and organizational strategy alignment. Lead earned media efforts, including influencer outreach and partnerships
Serve as the primary marketing contact for Desert Financials' community giving foundation, overseeing marketing projects and strategy and execution.
Track and measure the success of social media content marketing initiatives with the ability to course-correct and recommend alternative solutions as needed.
Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
What you will need:
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or Business Management preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
10+ years of Marketing and/or Public Relations experience required.
5+ years of leadership experience required.
Demonstrated expertise developing program based marketing campaigns and strategies. Demonstrated ability to direct internal and external resources to build marketing programs including creative teams, agencies, vendors, etc. required.
Customer marketing expertise (onboarding, retention, reviews, etc.) required.
Demonstrated understanding of social media platforms, capabilities and strategies required.
Project and Program Management expertise. Demonstrated ability to manage projects of the highest quality of work and deliverables for internal/external customers, superior verbal, written, and presentation skills required.
Expertise in marketing campaign execution, segmentation and campaign building required.
Able to collaborate in a cross-functional environment and manage both client and team needs to produce the best results for both side and develop and maintain key business relationships required.
Expertise in Public Relations, writing press releases, pitching stories to media, crisis communication required.
Advanced communication skills. Ability to interact with customers and facilitate group sessions and small scale events (online and offline) required.
Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) required.
