The Opportunity:

The role of the Director of Brand Marketing is an important one here at Performio. As the Director of Brand Marketing, your main mission will be to develop, package, and effectively communicate Performio to our prospects, customers, and employees and position Performio as the clear choice for Sales Performance Management and ICM. We have ambitious goals for the company. Be the dominant incentive compensation management software provider for the global mid-market and enterprise market by providing an enterprise-grade product that is easy to use and gets you up and running in weeks coupled with superior professional services and customer support. This means developing cutting edge messaging and content that drives awareness, improves our SEO rank, differentiates Performio as the clear modern, enterprise leader amongst the competition, and enables prospects to find Performio more easily. This role will be a very meaningful one, and you will be supported by marketing and product leadership to execute successfully and make an important contribution to the company. As the Director of Brand Marketing, your responsibilities will be the following:

  • Content Development- Improve our demand gen efforts by producing high quality content to support sales, marketing and customer support
  • Sales Product Training- Help our sales team increase win rates by arming them with knowledge, content, and tools to clearly communicate the unique value of Performio
  • Campaign Development- Partner with the marketing team to develop email marketing content and webinar content
  • Competitive Research & Analyst Relations- Refine our unique differentiators and effectively communicate our strengths and weaknesses to our sales team and the analyst community by deeply understanding our competitor’s product offerings
  • Liaison to Product Management Team- Improve our product team's understanding of our market and our customer's requirements by developing an opinion on our product and effectively communicating it to the product team

Requirements

  • 10+ years experience in brand marketing, marketing communications, content marketing or related functions
  • Experience managing a global brand in the SaaS or technology space selling to mid-market and enterprise businesses
  • Proven creativity and an ability to produce innovative and original ideas and storytelling
  • Excellent writing skills - this role is responsible for best-in-class content creation
  • Analyze customer and market trends to develop and execute brand positioning strategies
  • Identify current positioning and develop campaigns to drive brand awareness and perception in the global marketplace
  • Own and develop communication strategy across media, build relationships with PR agencies, Industry analysts, journalists to build an efficient and agile PR engine
  • Ability to study and become an expert on the Performio product
  • Ability to prioritize the most important deliverables on a monthly basis
  • Great execution - you see things through, have a bias toward action, and you get a large amount of work done and done quickly
  • High standards - you look for new and innovative content programs to continually raise the bar of Performio's brand and market presence
