Director of Business Development & Partnerships - Remote
Job Description
Medisolv is seeking an experienced HCIT sales professional with innate business development mindset, strong background in partner relationships, and experience with data aggregation and platform-based solutions to lead the company's business development initiatives and drive sustainable revenue growth.
As the Business Development leader at Medisolv, you will have the opportunity to play an integral role in the expansion of our business into new markets and forming new partnerships that will help the company grow. Success in this role requires a mix of thought leadership, strong business development experience, and the ability to navigate uncharted waters with a mix of mature and emerging solutions on the Medisolv platform. Your experience and feedback will contribute to the direction of our solutions necessary to support new markets and partnerships.
This is an individual contributor role that will develop into a player/coach role over time. You will have a direct quota for attainment of top line bookings and driving revenue growth. In this role, you will work alongside a talented and growth-oriented sales and marketing team, including lead generation specialists, sales executives, and marketing specialists, and interact regularly with leaders and subject matter experts from across the company.
Your defined territory will include new business development initiatives outside of our core Hospital and Health System market, aimed at expanding Medisolv's presence into new/adjacent markets and growing revenue, including the growing accountable care and payer market. You will also have responsibility for leading our partnership development efforts and establishing a repeatable engagement model for our business partners.

Responsibilities:
- Formulate and execute business development strategies for expanding Medisolv's presence into new/adjacent markets and growing revenue.
- Establish and lead Medisolv's new partnership development and define a repeatable engagement model for Medisolv business partners.
- Manage the full sales cycle for BD, including lead generation, qualification of opportunities, relationship building, obtaining, and understanding clients' requirements, matching their requirements with the company's solutions, developing proposals, and closing contracts.
- Leverage strategic selling techniques and manage complex sales process.
- Achieve agreed-upon sales goals for business development, including market share growth, new contract bookings, and partnership development.
- Seek competitive intelligence and insights. Conduct analyses of market and competitive information along with our core capabilities to identify optimal new business opportunities.
- Actively participate in professional trade shows, associations, and other events to establish new contacts and generate new business.
- Develop and maintain relationships with Medisolv's current and prospective business partners with focus on developing new collaborations and driving revenue growth
- Maintain an accurate sales forecast and pipeline.
- Utilize the company's CRM system for documenting the status of all leads and opportunities.
- Actively participate as a leader within the Sales and Marketing department in developing new tools, strategies, plans, etc. for growing top line.
- Gain an understanding of the company's solutions and their unique value proposition for clients.
- Achieve proficiency over the first two to three months in the company's solutions to lead client and prospective partner presentations, with a continuous learning approach going forward.
- Support internal projects or growth-related initiatives, including but not limited to: providing market feedback for product management, helping to define market and product strategy, assisting with the launch of new solutions and services, etc.
- Proven sales and business development track record in HCIT industry.
- Minimum of 10 years of progressive healthcare IT sales experience with enterprise-wide or platform-based solutions, including relevant experience with data aggregation solutions, quality, population health, value-based care strategies, and/or the accountable care/payer market.
- Working knowledge of major healthcare EHR systems.
- Possess a strong and demonstrated background in strategic selling techniques.
- Proven experience with establishing and leading partnership programs resulting in YOY bookings and revenue growth.
- Current experience selling healthcare technology to C-level executives and other senior executives within health systems, ambulatory, accountable care, and/or payer markets.
- Experience negotiating and closing complex business arrangements.
- Results-driven and highly motivated demeanor; an independent and resourceful self-starter
- A strong sense of personal accountability to drive productivity and achieve top line bookings and revenue goals.
- Ability to establish strong relationships with teammates and thrive in a highly collaborative and dynamic environment.
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- This a remote position with travel, as needed, to support on-site meetings and industry events. (Ability to travel up to 50%, when necessary.) Access to major airport required.
- Proficiency with Microsoft 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc), CRM solutions (HubSpot preferred), video conferencing/presentation solutions (Zoom, Teams, GoToMeeting, etc).
- Successful completion of a pre-employment background check
- Experience with clinical, quality and/or analytics SaaS solutions.
- Bachelor's degree or associates degree with equivalent experience.
