Summary
The Business Marketing Director is primarily responsible for driving preference, market share, and revenue growth in North America for Elekta's portfolio of Neuroscience products. This position is responsible for development and execution of market strategy, market segmentation, product strategy, and other marketing programs including product launch, KOL cultivation , pricing, positioning, marketing communications, lead generation, and field support to sales and service. The Business Marketing Director is measured on hard business results including volume and revenue goals and metrics related to customer/prospect/investor product awareness and preference. This position is the Region's key liaison between the market, regional resources, product marketing and portfolio management, and R&D/engineering - representing the voice of the customer.
Responsibilities
- Define overall strategy to maximize the commercial opportunity in the Americas for Neuroscience with a specific focus on successful commercialization of Esprit; Develop and implement annual marketing plans and budgets for Gamma Knife (LGK)and Leksell® Vantage™
- Identify key trends and issues impacting buying practices, clinical utilization, payment/financial feasibility Provide competitive analysis to inform decision making and shape strategies and tactics
- Provide regional input into all commercialization and marketing communications activities to ensure success of activities in America
- Conduct research to identify new markets/segments for LGK Icon & Esprit and prepare outreach strategy
- Provide Level II presentation support for sales team when pursing new LGK targets
- Create resident training program for Vantage Stereotactic frameto support education of residents
- Implement product launches all marketing campaigns including any required localization of positioning and messaging (e.g., digital and print communication, educational seminars, customer presentations, local development and management of luminaries and clinical advocates, cultivation of reference sites)
- Product Sales Training of Account Managers and Sales Leaders and Field Sales Support
- Provide guidance on overall product pricing and positioning strategy (including related service) based on regional market intelligence including bundling strategies to maximize value in close collaboration with Strategic Marketing and Commercialization
- Develop specific programs and campaigns to support after-sales market to maximize sales and product penetration in the installed base
- Help identify and manage relationships with Key Opinion Leaders and industry organization; identify and cultivate reference sites as well as track clinical whitepapers and evidence
- Provide input into all trade show activities, messaging, user/society meetings, collateral development, regional symposia and sales support materials; participate in exhibitions, local and regional meetings, conferences, and sales meetings to build relationships and generate leads
- Incorporate Elekta Values into all department functions and responsibilities
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 7+ years related work experience
- Strong working knowledge of neuroscience and/or stereotactic radiosurgery technologies
- Established network of physician and clinical references; ability to understand clinical literature and present clinical value propositions
- Downstream marketing and sales of medical or capital equipment is desired
- Creative thinker with strong analytical skills, ability to simplify complex issues, sound judgment
- Excellent written, verbal communication and presentation skills
- Ability to relate to all levels of the organization and recognize and navigate political environments
- Problem solving skills, strong conceptualization skills, sound decision maker, strong interpersonal skills and commitment to quality
- Experience and demonstrated aptitude both managing and prioritizing multiple projects and initiatives
- Travel as required
- Neuroscience, Radiosurgery, Oncology, Imaging capital solutions or pharma industry experience
- Field Sales Experience ideal
