Corvus is seeking a Director of Business Operations to enable long-term company success by increasing operational fidelity across important programs and businesses, and leading high priority projects.
This role will be a leader in the Strategic Ops function, a lean internal consulting-like group, operating as a team of tactical experts to focus on the most important business challenges.
Requirements
- Translate strategy into actionable steps for growth, detailing the impact on existing and new operational processes, implementing organization-wide goal setting, and performance tracking
- Support goal-setting and OKR development across company initiatives and teams
- Measure and monitor performance directly tied to transparent OKRs by working with the analytics team to develop reports and dashboards to ensure teams are making informed decisions, and evaluate performance by analyzing and interpreting data and metrics
- Identify areas where standard processes must be created for scalability and work cross functionally to implement
- Bring actionable insights from internal (sales, UW, and claims) data to uncover insights and to develop new products and business opportunities
- Lead strategy projects for the organization working with cross functional stakeholders to develop a structured approach and prospective solution for high priority projects and issues
- Provide coaching and guidance to other members of the strategic ops team
What you'll bring to the flock:
- 8+ years of experience in a similar strategic / operational management role at a scaling company or in a top tier management consulting firm
- MBA a plus
- Change agent with a track record for executing on complex initiatives across diverse stakeholder groups
- Experience driving strategic, operational, and organizational improvements
- ‘Roll-up your sleeves’ mentality to drive execution
- Experience in start-up or scale-up environments working closely with product and engineering squads a plus
- Ability to drive alignment across multiple stakeholder groups to build consensus
- Strong process and project management skills
- Business intelligence and analytics experience using BI tools (Looker, PowerBI, Tableau) a plus
- Experience in Insurance or SaaS industry experience (preferred)
- Develop actionable insights based on research and external data
- Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills
- Exceptional work ethic, team mentality, positive attitude, highly-driven, self-motivated, and excellent business partnering skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Team builder with positive attitude, encourager and collaborator
- Ability to participate and facilitate group meetings
- Ability to tackle complex problems and develop elegant, scalable, and repeatable process solutions
- Maintain the highest standards of accuracy and precision; detail-oriented, highly-organized and resourceful
- Genuine desire to make meaningful contributions on a team with big aspirations
- Ability to change mindset or approach when data suggests

We believe in paying equitably for performance. Actual salaries will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to experience, skills, internal equity, market data, and geography. Please note that the salary range that follows is a good faith estimate for this position only. The base salary range for this position is: $190,000 - $227,500, subject to final approval. This position may be eligible for performance-based incentives.
