Director of Campus Recruitment (OD’s)

The Director of Campus Recruitment will be responsible for planning, developing, and implementing externship opportunities within the EyeCare Partners network.  The Director will be responsible for building relationships with targeted optometry schools and students. The Director will collaborate with internal and external stakeholders manage campus working groups, and on-site and off-site logistics for university engagement. This will include evaluate candidates for opportunities and support students through the recruiting and selection process.

Essential Functions:

  • Provide support to the college and community relation activities that encourage community relationships, field trips, guest speakers, and externship site development.
  • Assist growth of academic programs by executing strategic initiatives that leverage current industry trends, improve the quality of the student experience, and expand program reach.
  • Serve as main point of contact for colleges and be the liaison between the college and EyeCare Partners
  • Provides communication and consultative recruiting guidance based on results of college partnerships to talent acquisition and regional teams.
  • Lead the Optometry Recruitment Medical Executive board.
  • Develop partnership, scholarship, and other mutual beneficial programs to assist with the recruitment of future Optometrists.
  • Develop and optimize peer relationships within the university recruitment space; compile and communicate university recruiting knowledge, best practices and market trends to team members and key stakeholders

Minimum Requirements:

  • 8 or more years of demonstrated recruiting or operations success in a clinical healthcare environment
  • 3 or more years of leadership experience
  • Must have comprehensive understanding of medical industry, physician market and medical specialties and business planning
  • Skilled in interacting with physicians and hospital leadership and able to work in a fast-paced environment; protecting highly confidential information
  • Experience with applicant tracking systems
  • Ability to work in a fast paced, quickly changing environment
  • Relentless attention to detail and accuracy
  • High attention to process and a passion for process improvement
  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, marketing or related; or appropriate combination of education and experience.
