We are seeking an innovative 'Director of Catalog, Ecommerce', to lead our catalog development and merchandising optimization efforts, ensuring a seamless and engaging online customer experience. Key Responsibilities

  • Build and sustain trust with customers by ensuring that product information is comprehensive and current, including technical specifications, images, videos, units of measure, and descriptions.
  • Manage and improve catalog taxonomy, category architecture, site search functionality, and internal site links.
  • Properly categorize products to enable dynamic search and sorting filters, ensuring that all product descriptions and measurement units are tagged consistently and search results are genuinely helpful.
  • Intelligently utilize merchandising features including product recommendations, required accessories and add-on items.
  • Map and manage the process of managing the catalog, ensuring that stakeholders understand the process and roles for database updates; includes developing SOPs and designing system QA controls.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance our product offerings.
  • Manage and mentor a team of catalog/merchandising specialists, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback.
  • Develop and monitor key performance indicators to evaluate catalog performance and inform data-driven decision-making.
  • Drive improvements to catalog data and merchandising tools by collaborating with internal software development team for DB and system changes.
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations.
  • Develop and manage relationships with key vendors and suppliers to ensure timely and accurate product information.
  • Stay up-to-date on relevant ecommerce trends, technologies, and best practices to ensure we remain at the forefront of our industry.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or related field.
  • 7+ years of experience in ecommerce catalog management and merchandising.
  • Extremely strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain rigorous quality assurance processes.
  • Experienced with database and business intelligence reporting to make informed decisions.
  • Experienced with working with internal software development members to make improvements to catalog data and merchandising tools.
  • Excellent project management skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong understanding of ecommerce platforms and technologies, including content management systems and product information management systems.
  • Knowledge of the HVAC industry and products is a plus (not required).
