Director of Channel Marketing
Job Description
Duties:
- Develop / refine value proposition messaging to position CoreSite as the colocation provider of choice to the channel community.
- Create and execute joint go-to-market plans with solution partners (managed service providers and other value-add providers), clouds and networks, spanning messaging, training, content creation, event execution and demand generation.
- Nurture strategic agent partner relationships to create mindshare through creation of content, trainings, and sponsoring and hosting relevant events.
- Build relationships with leading brokerage firms through meetings and other activities.
- Lead efforts to interface with Marketing Communications team to customize solution campaigns as re-usable programs to create enterprise demand.
- Manage a channel marketing team to achieve annual quota.
- Collaborate with Sales and internal ecosystem leaders to identify opportunities to improve performance, drive revenue and track key performance indicators (KPI) to ensure success; analyze and interpret data to refine/adjust GTM strategy/plans to maximize market impact.
- Execute, manage, monitor and report on results of initiatives and their programs.
Requirements
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Broad marketing background required including experience developing and executing all aspects of channel marketing plans and reporting.
- Creating and executing events, lead gen and demand generation programs.
- Works well in cross-functional, matrixed environment - Segment strategy, product managers, Solution marketing, Channel Sales and Sales Engineering teams, Marketing Communications, external agencies and other key stakeholders and contributors to our marketing strategy.
- Program management experience and strong project management skills.
- Strategic thinker - able to create value propositions relevant to target audiences.
- Telecom and/or cloud experience, product knowledge, channel program strategy.
Education/Experience:
- College degree (B.A. or B.S.) or equivalent experience in Marketing, Communications, or Journalism.
- 10+ years in a channel marketing role; preferably in the technology, telecommunications or data center services industry.
- Experience managing and developing a team
- Experience with business-to-business demand generation including campaign creation and execution, event management, multi-channel marketing (including multi-touch marketing automation-based campaigns)
- Experience in creating compelling messages for target market/s. Production of content assets.
- Previous experience with Hubspot and/or Marketo.
- Understanding of CRM tools, Salesforce.com experience preferred.
- Must be highly computer literate, including experience using Microsoft CRM/Google Analytics/MS Office/Adobe applications preferred.
Travel:
- The position requires 15-20% travel.

Compensation
Compensation for this role includes a base salary between $139,000 and $180,000 annually. This role is also eligible for an annual bonus incentive based upon individual and company performance, and will receive an Equity Grant upon hire and annually, moving forward.
