Example programs include Data Science for All, a masters-level data science bootcamp for individuals from historically underrepresented groups, and Amazon Career Choice, an analytics training program for frontline warehouse workers.
Our model is not just more equitable, but it is also inherently more scalable than traditional education providers. Each program is taught by industry leaders, professors and teaching assistants, delivered virtually to cohort-based learning communities. We currently run programs for 5,000+ learners each year in 10+ countries, and we plan to grow 5-10x in the next two years.
Our clients include over 50 blue-chip companies, such as Amazon, Citadel, Accenture, Target, EY, BlackRock, and Johnson & Johnson. These organizations work with us to train their own employees, to recruit program graduates, and to proactively invest in talent from traditionally underrepresented communities.
ABOUT THE ROLE
The Director of Content Development is a key role that will be responsible for designing and producing both custom and turnkey training content for Correlation Oneās largest enterprise clients. This person will manage a team of content developers, and work cross-functionally with department leaders in Correlation Oneās Operations, Product, Engineering, and Career Development teams.Ā
The ideal candidate will be an exceptional project and people manager, able to align high-level strategies and KPIs with thoughtful process design and execution. The role will include the management of a small and growing team of content developers, who are responsible for the development of Correlation Oneās training curriculum. The role will also include designing and managing development processes to support Correlation Oneās scaling and growth.Ā
This person will join a stellar team and will be expected to function in a high-autonomy, dynamic, and fast-paced environment, meeting ambitious deadlines and getting the best out of team members and external contractors, all while communicating thoughtfully to stakeholders. This role is equal parts hands-on work and driving a lean team.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage a team of content developers who are responsible for the creation of Correlation Oneās live online training curriculum
- Supervise the content creation process (writing, securing of assets, editing, QA, and publishing) and version control through content iteration cycles
- Manage content rights and permissions for our extensive curriculum catalog
- Develop and manage seamless collaborative workflows and tools to streamline content-centric processes
- Supervise the hiring, managing and budgeting process for external production contractors (writers, copyeditors, QA, etc.)
- Create and maintain project schedules, which define activities, sequence, dependencies, work effort, duration, targets for milestones, and associated resource requirements
- Perform quality control on the project throughout development to maintain high production standardsĀ
- Identify creative solutions and make effective decisions as issues arise in order to deliver high-quality work in a fast-paced environment
- Coordinate with internal department leaders to ensure successful program execution, including partnership with operations, product, engineering, and career development teams
RELEVANT EXPERIENCES
- Experience managing multiple high-growth, cross-functional projects with many stakeholders
- People management experience preferred
- Experience in curriculum and/or education, preferably large cohortsĀ in an online setting
- Experience with content management systems a plus
- Experience with freelance management systems (especially Worksuite)
- Ability to distill and simplify complex requests into actionable project plans
- Strong prioritization, goal setting, action planning, and self-monitoring skills
