The Role
Billd is seeking a Director of Contractor Success who will be responsible for managing the Contractor Success team and its operations. The Contractor Success team plays a critical role in ensuring our customers' experiences are extraordinary. The Director of Contractor Success will manage performance metrics at an individual and team level and will be tasked with developing, executing, and contributing to collections strategies that meet and sustain the company's portfolio targets. This person will be responsible for overseeing collections on all accounts while ensuring best efforts to maximize recoveries. Additional responsibilities include working with the CEO, CRO and VP of Operations to identify and reduce credit & financial risks while enhancing the company's overall risk management process.

The Role
Billd is seeking a Director of Contractor Success who will be responsible for managing the Contractor Success team and its operations. The Director of Contractor Success will manage performance metrics at an individual and team level and will be tasked with developing, executing, and contributing to collections strategies that meet and sustain the company's portfolio targets. This person will be responsible for overseeing collections on all accounts while ensuring best efforts to maximize recoveries. Additional responsibilities include working with the CEO, CRO and VP of Operations to identify and reduce credit & financial risks while enhancing the company's overall risk management process.
Responsibilities:
- Demonstrate a strong proficiency in the area of Collections, Credit, and Fraud mitigation
- Manage, coach and train a team of Contractor Success associates to optimize collections strategies and customer experience
- Invest in Learning & Development initiatives for department team members to develop future Senior Associates and Managers
- Ideate and propose new collection strategies & processes to minimize delinquent payments and improve operational efficiency
- Maintain & manage an exceptionally high level of data integrity and precision within Billd's platforms
- Leverage existing data to deeply analyze the performance of Billd's current & historical portfolios to discover trends and improvement opportunities
- Work cross functionally & strategize with other departments to enhance Billd's customer experience while simultaneously mitigating risk
- Lead the planning and execution of departmental quarterly key initiatives and consistently report on progress and hit deadlines
- Take ownership of departmental Key Performance Indicators and consistently report and perform to expectations
- Evaluate and manage third-party vendors and software services to supplement & optimize Billd's collection strategies
- Participate in annual/quarterly resource budgeting & forecasting
- Actively engage Executive Management teams with recurring reports, forecasts, and proposals
Experience
- 5+ years of experience within the Financial Services or Technology industries
- 5+ years of experience in personnel management
- 3+ years of experience in resource budgeting & forecasts
- Ability to maintain the highest standard of integrity, accuracy, and precision
- Tenacity to thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Desire to work with and be a part of a larger team to achieve company goals
- Positive, personable, and focused attitude
Preferred
- Strong Operational experience at a small to mid-size enterprise
- Strong experience using Salesforce (or similar CRM)
- Prior experience in Venture Capital or Private Equity-backed businesses
- Prior experience in presenting & reporting to Executive leadership
- Familiarity with databases and data analysis concepts
