Job Description
We seek a Director of Customer Marketing to join our virtual team. This role presents an amazing opportunity to implement world-class customer marketing strategies and processes. You will gain high visibility with Givelify executive leadership by delivering easy-to-understand messages and content to customers. Your work will help more people donate to the organizations they care about. This will also help organizations raise more money; together, we will put more good into the world.
You’ll get to:
The Director of Customer Marketing reports to the VP of Marketing and will own the success of:
- A customer marketing strategy that inspires more people to donate to the organizations they care about and helps organizations raise more funds
- Helping new donors and organizations find success with Givelify right away with onboarding programs that anticipate their wants and needs, deliver and delight them
- Increasing engagement, retention, and lifetime value of donors and organizations through cross-selling, upselling, and thought-leadership programs
- Getting more customers promoting Givelify with advocacy and community programs that bring them value
To be successful in this role, you will:
- Partner with the customer success team to develop and execute customer engagement and advocacy strategies relevant to customer segments
- Work with product teams to design and implement onboarding and growth programs that help donors give on a regular basis and organizations raise more funds, as well as communicate important updates about our platform
- Lead and manage customer engagement and communication programs such as ongoing nurture and lifecycle campaigns to maximize customer success on the platform
- Build high-touch marketing programs for high-value organizations and donors by partnering with our customer success team
- Build low-touch marketing programs that engage and educate a volume of smaller customers to use Givelify successfully

- This position requires extensive creative marketing and communication skills to engage and motivate customers
- 7+ years' experience as a leader in customer or product marketing
- Proficient in persona development, customer onboarding, and customer journey
- Experience building customer advocacy and community programs
- Excellent at connecting the dots between the psychology of consumer behavior, communication, and data
- Communicate well and use storytelling to break down complex topics into third-grade concepts
- Empathetic to customers and respectful of their spiritual beliefs, as well as their diverse perspectives on how they want to make the world better
- Strong collaboration and interpersonal skills to work with cross-functional teams.
- Analytical skills to determine marketing effectiveness, ROI and connect actions to impact
- Strategic thinker that can see beyond the day-to-day grind to help reach marketing and sales
- The ability to write compelling copy is a necessity
- Experience in utilizing martech tools, A/B testing, data, and analytics to optimize growth is a must (i.e., Google Analytics, CleverTap, AppCues, Email Marketing, Tableau, etc.)
- Proven track record of performing well in a fast-paced environment and organizational skills to effectively manage multiple projects with tight deadlines
- Bachelor’s degree in business or marketing, MBA strongly preferred

- Certification in product or customer marketing
- Experience with both B2B and B2C customer marketing
- Combines a customer-centric, data-oriented mindset with creative/brand sensibilities
- Previous Communications, Customer Service, Customer Success, or Account Management experience
- Experience with Pardot and Salesforce
