MetroStar is looking for a Director of Defense (USAF) Operations that is passionate about leading and growing innovative programs for the U.S. Air Force. This role serves as a strategic leader to help focus, guide, and shape opportunities and operational excellence with our U.S. Air Force and Space Force portfolio.

You're a great fit if you have:

• experience across the engineering, aerospace, and /or defense industries
• experience supporting complex engineering programs in a variety of technology environments
• responsibility over mentorship, delivery, customer experience, and growth aspects of large-scale programs
• experience managing multiple teams deployed CONUS

You'll love being our Director of Defense Operations if you have: (this is the stuff you MUST have to be a fit)

• 15+ years of experience as a program manager
• 10+ years shaping and growing opportunities as a new business lead
• 10+ years of experience leading and mentoring teams of 10+
• B.S., Computer Science, or a related field
• An active Top Secret security clearance

• Experience supporting the proposal phase for $100M+ opportunities
• Extensive insights and networks within the U.S. Air Force
• A comprehensive understanding of government contracting and Federal Acquisition Regulations Director

What you'll get to work on:

As our Director of Defense Operations, you will build, grow, and manage a team to deliver and expand strategic programs supporting the U.S. Air Force. You’ll partner with other Defense Operations leaders, our growth team, and our Client Solutions Group to create new opportunities in support of our warfighters through operational excellence, team development, and servant leadership.
