About the Role

As the Director of Demand Generation, you will be responsible for developing and executing the company’s demand generation strategy to drive interest in the company, product, and services with prospects and customers. This position also oversees digital marketing, social marketing and marketing operations, ensuring we track and deliver marketing metrics across the organization. You must be familiar with and able to effectively create both inbound and outbound marketing campaigns and execute effective ABM and SEO strategies to meet marketing and sales goals.

In this role, you will also be expected to:

  • Develop and manage the annual demand marketing plan across multiple marketing channels and to multiple target audiences including end-users prospects, existing customers, and multiple types of partner prospects including resellers and specifiers
  • Execute and drive overall marketing campaigns into target audiences that will raise awareness and generate leads into the marketing and sales funnel
  • Develop and manage the marketing budget and allocating spend across channels and target markets to meet lead and sales goals
  • Effectively manage and execute an account based marketing strategy using cutting edge intent tools and activities
  • Coordinate/collaborate to build content calendar with marketing teams tracking social, blogs, thought leadership content, and other forms of content
  • Align with the product and product marketing teams to ensure message and market positioning are on target
  • Execute the marketing plan and track performance across all advertising, social, paid, SEO and other channels
  • Research and plan media advertising. Negotiate ad placement with different media outlets and manage the ad creation and delivery process
  • Develop and direct measurable marketing campaigns that tie back to brand strategy and business goals 
  • Closely align, coordinate and collaborate with the sales, business development and support teams to plan and execute up-sell, and cross-sell campaigns to existing customers
  • Manage marketing analytics team to create in-depth performance reporting and dashboards to showcase collective marketing activity
  • Optimize marketing spend and performance based on data-driven reporting
  • Measure ROI of marketing programs by collecting and analyzing data and making recommendations on how to improve lead generation and lead velocity
  • Oversee a team of digital marketing experts including paid and organic search, social and website 
  • Manage technology and tools for digital marketing and manage vendor relationships for best implementation and performance
  • Directly manage marketing operations, technology assets, and various marketing systems including, but not limited to marketing automation platform, CRM, lead pages, and other marketing digital technologies
  • Develop and execute demand gen campaigns (both traditional and ABM) utilizing a variety of tactics: email, outbound, webinars, online advertising, digital, content syndication, video – both the strategy and hands-on management, writing, execution
  • Plan, negotiate and manage media buys and budget
  • Manage marketing calendars, trafficking schedule, and on-time execution of all marketing programs

About You

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or a related field
  • 7+ years of experience in marketing and/or communications, preferably in demand generation and at a B2B company
  • Familiarity with current marketing tech stack tools, demand generation best practices across digital marketing channels
  • Experience working directly in marketing automation software and CRMs
  • Proven ability to execute campaigns aimed at prospects and customers with strong ROI metrics
  • Analytical and able to extract meaning from data
  • Comfort in adapting to change in a fast-moving environment
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively and cross-functionally to build consensus on key issues
  • Strong relationship-building skills and the ability to influence marketing directions, strategies, and resource allocations across multiple programs and divisions
  • Ability to manage budget and reporting

Preferred Skills: 

  • Highly proficient in Pardot and other Salesforce applications
  • Technology savvy with experience working with multiple marketing platforms
  • Comfortable with digital technologies and able to integrate marketing platforms for optimum performance
