Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly strategic and innovative Director of Design to lead our design efforts in transforming the patient and provider experience in the telehealth space. In this role, you will be responsible for shaping the design vision and strategy for our products and services, ensuring they are user-centered and aligned with our business objectives.

You will report to the Vice President of Product and oversee a talented design team, guiding them in creating intuitive, visually compelling, and effective user journeys. Your role involves collaborating closely with product management, engineering, and other key stakeholders to integrate experiences seamlessly across our platform. You will also spearhead user research initiatives to gather insights and drive design improvements.

Your expertise will be crucial in enhancing the overall user experience and the continued growth and adoption of our telehealth solutions. 

Duties and Responsibilities:

Strategic Design Leadership: Develop and implement the design strategy to ensure alignment with business goals and user needs, driving the vision for user experience across all telehealth products.

Team Management: Lead and mentor the design team, providing guidance, feedback, and support to foster professional growth and ensure high-quality, on-time output.

Project Oversight: Oversee the end-to-end design process for various projects, managing timelines, resources, and deliverables to ensure successful and timely completion.

Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with product managers, engineers, and marketing teams to ensure cohesive integration of design across the platform and alignment with overall product objectives.

User Research: Conduct and oversee user research to gather insights and feedback, using this data to inform and refine design decisions and improve user experience.

Design Review: Evaluate and approve design work to ensure it meets quality standards and aligns with project goals, making adjustments as needed based on feedback and performance metrics.

Stakeholder Communication: Present design concepts and updates to stakeholders, incorporating their feedback and ensuring that design solutions address both user needs and business objectives.

You will likely have:

• Proven experience in leading and managing design teams with successful project outcomes.
• Expertise in user-centered design principles and practices to create exceptional user experiences.
• Strong ability to develop and implement design strategies that align with business and product goals.
• Experience in collaborating with product management, engineering, and marketing teams to ensure cohesive design integration.
• Advanced proficiency in design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite, Sketch, or Figma.
• A well-rounded portfolio demonstrating a range of successful design projects and skills.
• Proven track record in managing multiple design projects, including handling timelines, resources, and deliverables.

You may have:

• Prior experience designing for telehealth or healthcare technologies
• Proficiency in additional design tools or technologies
• Thrive in a fast-paced fully remote environment
