The Opportunity at Culture Amp

This is a unique opportunity where the things you create will have a genuine, positive impact on workers globally. With our existing Director of Design stepping out on parental leave, a unique opportunity exists to lead a team of talented designers in the Perform camp for 12 months.

Join us as a Director of Design in the Perform camp to help companies create a transformative people-first performance product that is easy to use and manage. This means you’ll have a unique opportunity to impact how every employee - HR, managers, and individual employees experience the Culture Amp magic.

The ideal candidate will be passionate about the role of product design in solving complex, real-world problems through intentional, human user experiences. You'll love mentoring talented designers and collaborating more broadly with a variety of roles across several fast paced Product teams.

What is the opportunity?

  • Lead the charge on realising the vision of creating an industry defining experience for people leaders interacting with the Culture Amp’s Performance products and create an enviable design capability to get us there
  • Contribute to creating a design culture that is contagious throughout the business across the camp and Culture Amp
  • Contribute to developing our design practices and methodologies to help us swiftly ship engaging and cohesive product experiences
  • Make Culture Amp a design destination by growing our external design profile and mentoring our designers

What skills will you bring to the Camp?

  • Demonstrated experience leading the design of SaaS products at scale
  • Experience managing, mentoring designers and growing design capability
  • Past experience creating end-to-end experiences for users with a bias toward user- and customer-centered techniques to define and create value, and of using data to validate or test.
  • A toolkit to draw on for deeply understanding problems and defining solutions, such as service design, design-thinking, customer discovery and product design.
  • Empathy for those you work with and mentor, and a drive to build and foster highly-effective teams.
  • Iterative and adaptive approach - you’ll get some setbacks, and can reevaluate and find a new path forward without getting too worried about it.
  • Curiosity and passion for people and culture. At heart, you're what we call a people geek!

We believe that inclusive businesses are better, not just for “company results”, but for the world. We have a strong commitment to Anti-Racism, and endeavour to lead by example. Every step we make as a business towards anti-racism is another step we can take to support our customers in making a better world (of work). You can see our current commitments to Anti-Racism here.

We ensure you have the tools you need to thrive both in and out of work.

  • MacBooks for you to do your best work
  • Excellent parental leave and in work support programme, - for those families to be
  • Flexible working schedule - where we can, let’s make work, work for you
  • Fun and inclusive digital, and (in the future) in-person events

Most importantly. An opportunity to really make a difference in people’s lives
