Director of Digital Platform
Job Description
Duties and Responsibilities
- Setting company technical vision and leading the company's digital platform developmentEcotec has significant experience in the landfill and biogas emissions monitoring industry and are now entering a new industry vertical. The DDP will be responsible for identifying customer needs and requirements and translating those into the solution requirements for a new software platform for emissions monitoring.
- Taking ownership of the strategic vision for the platform and lead all development efforts including the product design (UX/UI), architecture, development, CI/CD, support and innovation.
- Developing strategic plans and setting timelines for evaluation, development, and deployment of the company's software products and services.
- Collaborating with department heads, marketing, production, and operations as an advisor of all technologies involved with the company
- Establishing software development process and setting objectives for the process
- Leading the recruitment process to build a new a new software development team for the execution of the company's new technological development strategy.
- Managing relationships with existing software development partners.
- Monitoring performance profiling tools and procedures
- Reviewing timeframes and budgets
- Developing and implementing security best practices as well as disaster and emergency recovery plans
- Defining company standards for systems, equipment, and software
- Sharing technological visions, opportunities, and risks company-wide
- Studying current and new industry trends, technologies, and software development
- Studying information processing systems to evaluate the effectiveness and make recommendations for improvement
- Representing the company at conferences and networking events
- Ensuring the company's technological processes and service comply with all requirements, laws, and regulation
Requirements
Requirements and Qualifications
- Able to learn about customer needs and requirements and develop detailed solution requirements from them.
- Excellent leadership, team building, and management skills
- Encouraging to team and staff; able to mentor and lead
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent analytical and time-management skills
- Confident in producing and presenting work
- Bachelor's degree in information technology, computer science, or related field; Master's degree or higher in information technology or a technology-related discipline preferred
- 8+ years' experience (or more) in a software development or architect role, information technology role, or related field
- 4+ years in product management or leadership role for software services/products
- Strong proficiency in:
- AWS cloud services (certification preferred )
- SaaS software development models
- Full-stack [BR5] software/solutions architecture
- Cloud-native databases, data pipelines and integrations
- CI/CD technologies
- Back-End Languages (at least 2): Java, Python, NodeJS, Typescript,
- Front-End Frameworks (at least 2): HTML/CSS, React, Vue, Angular
