Director of Digital Platform

The director of digital platform (DDP) will be accountable for all customer facing digital platforms. The DDP will establish company technology vision, strategies, and plans for growth. They will supervise the system and quality assurance processes. The DDP will focus on maintaining and improving all technological issues in the company.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Setting company technical vision and leading the company's digital platform developmentEcotec has significant experience in the landfill and biogas emissions monitoring industry and are now entering a new industry vertical. The DDP will be responsible for identifying customer needs and requirements and translating those into the solution requirements for a new software platform for emissions monitoring.
• Taking ownership of the strategic vision for the platform and lead all development efforts including the product design (UX/UI), architecture, development, CI/CD, support and innovation.
• Developing strategic plans and setting timelines for evaluation, development, and deployment of the company's software products and services.
• Collaborating with department heads, marketing, production, and operations as an advisor of all technologies involved with the company
• Establishing software development process and setting objectives for the process
• Leading the recruitment process to build a new a new software development team for the execution of the company's new technological development strategy.
• Managing relationships with existing software development partners.
• Monitoring performance profiling tools and procedures
• Reviewing timeframes and budgets
• Developing and implementing security best practices as well as disaster and emergency recovery plans
• Defining company standards for systems, equipment, and software
• Sharing technological visions, opportunities, and risks company-wide
• Studying current and new industry trends, technologies, and software development
• Studying information processing systems to evaluate the effectiveness and make recommendations for improvement
• Representing the company at conferences and networking events
• Ensuring the company's technological processes and service comply with all requirements, laws, and regulation

Requirements and Qualifications

• Able to learn about customer needs and requirements and develop detailed solution requirements from them.

• Confident in producing and presenting work
• Bachelor's degree in information technology, computer science, or related field; Master's degree or higher in information technology or a technology-related discipline preferred
• 8+ years' experience (or more) in a software development or architect role, information technology role, or related field
• 4+ years in product management or leadership role for software services/products
• Strong proficiency in:

• AWS cloud services (certification preferred )
• SaaS software development models
• Full-stack [BR5] software/solutions architecture
• Cloud-native databases, data pipelines and integrations
• CI/CD technologies
• Back-End Languages (at least 2): Java, Python, NodeJS, Typescript,
• Front-End Frameworks (at least 2): HTML/CSS, React, Vue, Angular
