As our Director of Education, you will position HoneyBook as the clear leader in the clientflow category by developing engaging educational programs for independent businesses. You will define the strategic direction of our educational programs for our category/industry, as well as our product. You will manage a team that will create best-in-class multimedia education resources that anticipate user needs, demonstrate how members can build and grow their independent business, walk customers through product functionality, and remove barriers to overall HoneyBook adoption and success. You will also enable HoneyBook partners and internal teams with educational resources tailored to their audiences’ needs. This includes but isn't limited to onboarding employees and partner enablement.
This role reports to the executive leading our customer-facing teams, and is based out of our San Francisco office.
Here are a few of the things you will do:
- Develop our strategic direction of our education of our category/industry and our product.
- Manage a team that develops engaging, high-quality educational content for understanding clientflow, best practices (by persona or vertical) and onboarding to the product, using remarkable creative assets
- Drive effective product enablement in product releases working closely with PMM
- Scale internal education systems to ensure all employees have access to accurate product information and messaging
- Scale our ability to create multimedia educational content working with both internal and external creative teams
- You will own developing a strategy for effectively partnering with, supporting, and leveraging our partner ecosystem to position HoneyBook as the leading clientflow platform for independent businesses
- Develop innovative programs that educate independents, and work cross-functionally to execute against these programs.
- Assess and recommend improvements in education methods, internal tools and procedures
Here is what we’re looking for in a candidate:
- 5+ years leading and/or building Education and Enablement programs and teams
- Demonstrated success building Educational programs from strategy through execution at a SaaS, or other technology company
- Experienced manager of diverse teams
- Ability to distill and express complex ideas in digestible, accessible, and actionable steps
- Someone who can think like the end-user; you can put yourself in the shoes of an independent business and address their distinct challenges
- Someone who can successfully lead cross-functional initiatives in scaling organizations

- Compensation: We offer a competitive salary + meaningful equity based on merit and market.
- The base salary offered for this role and level of experience will begin at $147,000 and up to $230,000. Full-time employees are also eligible for a meaningful equity package and benefits. The actual base salary offered may be higher, depending on your location, skills, qualifications, and experience.
