Director of Educator Marketing

*This position is on our hybrid schedule at our New Rochelle office.

Position Purpose

The Director of Educator Marketing will oversee and implement critical marketing aspects for our teacher-focused brands, PD Essentials and Newmark Learning. These responsibilities include: promotion of thought leaders and authors who offer insights and guidance into best teaching and learning practices; promotion of our books, courses, and other teacher resources through which educators can receive expert guidance; and promotion of our brands, PD Essentials and Newmark Learning, as trusted names in the educational publishing space.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Working closely with colleagues and authors,
  • Develop strategic marketing campaigns and events for Newmark Learning and PD Essentials (PDE) brands and products, and PDE authors and professional trainings
  • Create content and collateral in coordination with channel owners for multichannel posting: e-commerce website, direct mail, advertising, email, social media, webinar, podcasts, and blogs
  • Integrate multichannel campaigns with customer targeting and segmentation strategies that increase customer engagement and drive sales, including direct-to-consumer efforts and third parties (e.g. Amazon)

• Present content to Sales reps as well as in customer-facing events (e.g., webinar host)
• Work collaboratively with colleagues in multiple departments, consultants, and vendors to achieve marketing goals on time and increase sales for teacher-focused brands
• Recruit, manage, and develop departmental staff; develop and refine best practices and work flows

Job Requirements: Skills & Experiences

• 5-7+ years of management experience in educational publishing and digital marketing
• Proven track record of growing campaigns from strategy through to execution
• Provide data driven insights to develop actionable recommendations
• Excellent communication, writing, editing, and digital marketing skills
• Excellent management, creative vision, and leadership skills
• Excellent presentation skills
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks and projects
• Strong Microsoft Office skills and digital marketing knowledge

Salary Range: $110,000 - $130,000

*The base salary range represents the low and high end of the expected salary range for the position. The base salary offered may depend on a variety of factors such as geographic location, experience, education, and skill level.
