Director of Engineering

Core One is seeking a Director of Engineering to join our growing Technical Solutions team. As the Director of Engineering, you will be working closely with our CTO to lead our core engineering development activities.

The ideal candidate is someone looking to make immediate mission impacts and work in a startup like culture. By joining us, you will be solving some of the most interesting and challenging problems for our customers. You will work get to work daily with a growing and innovative team with extensive entrepreneurial experience. This position will offer high visibility within the company and to our customers delivering game changing solutions for mission. 

Responsibilities:

• Oversee software development, cybersecurity, and networking solutions initiatives.
• Participate in crafting strategic engineering roadmap for the company.
• Engage customers to understand their problems, solicit new business, and deliver value-added solutions.
• Manage concurrently multiple engineering teams and projects.
• Ensure on-time deliverables to meet customer requirements and deadlines.
• Manage and oversee budgets ensuring adequate resourcing and staffing to meet deliverables.
• Manage personnel and staffing requirements, including hiring, retention and professional development.

Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree with Engineering or Science major or additional 5+ years' relevant experience in lieu of education.
• 10+ years’ relevant engineering experience including overseeing development and delivery of products.
• 3+ years’ engineering management or leadership position.
• Excellent team management and leadership skills and experience.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• US Citizenship is required for this position.
• Active TS/SCI.
