Director of Engineering

We are looking for a Director of Engineering which will be responsible for leading multiple teams of engineers. You will manage Engineering Managers with a diverse set of teams and engineers who work across the entire stack and on a variety of products. You will also provide your team with thought leadership, mentorship and technical direction. This will report to our VP of Engineering.

• Lead multiple high-performing, high caliber teams of engineers 
• Work with a passionate, smart and ambitious team of engineers who built large scale systems at Uber, AirBnB, Facebook and Google (https://www.bolt.com/team)
• Communicate cross-functionally and with company executives on all projects, roadmaps, and overall trajectory of the Engineering org
• Determine the the needs of our shoppers and merchants while working to solve complex business problems
• Partner with a multitude of stakeholders to understand and guide our product roadmap
• Learn from and help shape our company's engineering culture

• Golang
• GraphQL
• Docker / Kubernetes 
• Amazon Web Services
• Typescript / React 
• Terraform
• Major Ecommerce platforms

• 5+ years of engineering management experience
• 10+ years of professional development experience
• Have worked closely with various levels of business stakeholders, from C-level executives on down 
• Have lots of experience working  in an agile, fast-paced, and rapidly changing environment
• Are curious and passionate about technology
• Believe in our values
• Are excited about jumping into any area of technology
• Have strong communication skills
