We are looking for a Director of Engineering to join the team. The Director of Engineering is responsible for leading a team of engineers and ensuring the successful development and delivery of high-quality products and services. This individual is responsible for creating and implementing engineering strategies, managing projects, and overseeing the development process from ideation to launch. The Director of Engineering will be responsible for mentoring and leading a team of engineers in delivering high-quality products and services that meet or exceed customer expectations.

DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES

• Leads and mentors a team of engineers, both managers and individual contributors. Set clear goals and objectives, and inspire the team to meet and exceed them.
• Manages projects effectively, ensuring that they are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. Identify and mitigate risks, and prioritize projects based on their impact on the organization.
• Maintain a deep understanding of the latest technologies, software development methodologies, and tools that are relevant to the product or service they are working on. 
• Advances strategic priorities and contributes to strategy 
• Drives overall coherent engineering strategy and directs subsets of projects 
• Influences and drives changes in company-wide strategy in a specific domain
• Ensures a safe, secure and compliant work environment by developing, coordinating and enforcing systems, policies, procedures and productivity standards
• Enables company strategy through leadership and support for cross-functional initiatives
• Recruits, manages, develops and retains team members in a nurturing and remote environment 
• Responsible for leading teams to architect, implement, and deliver on key partner integrations and programs

SUMMARY OF REQUIREMENTS

• 12+ years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience. Prior experience as a manager for at least 1-3 years. Experience leading 8-10 people
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field or comparable years of professional experience
• Graduate degree in Computer Science or a related field or comparable years professional experience.
• Preferred, but not required: 5+ years experience as a manager. Experience leading an organization of 15-30 people.
• Experience with functional languages, large scale and performant database applications, and multi-tenant architectures

The US base hiring range for this full-time position is $146,000-$250,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. The actual starting pay will be based on job-related factors, including work location, experience, training, and skill level, so pay for this role may be higher or lower than what is shown on this posting.
