What we are building

The Model Develop and Train teams  at Domino are building feature/function in the Domino platform that enables data scientists to both quickly and efficiently develop their models, and train them through experimentation with training data sets. The mission of the team is to increase the velocity of the end-to-end model development process by providing an environment of flexible and open tools, and access to an integrated platform of compute resources for model training. In this role you will oversee teams that are expanding the features of the model development environment, building hybrid computing capabilities, optimizing the resilience and scalability of core services, and continuing to improve and evolve the architecture of the Domino platform.

What your impact will be

In your first year your teams will have:

• Improved their ability to plan and deliver against their key objectives
• Effectively understand their capacity develop staffing plans to fill key capacity and skill gaps
• Adopted a more agile mindset that has resulted in a increased velocity
• Identified key areas inhibiting developer efficiency and instituted new practices to address the friction points.
• Teams have internalized “owning their quality” and have shifted more testing earlier in the development lifecycle
• Team-owned components are optimized, scalable, and rock solid. Teams are continuing to move to a service-oriented architecture

What we look for in this role

• 5+ years experience managing multiple teams and a team of first line managers
• Strong technical background; forms opinions on architectural direction
• Ability to effectively recruit and scale teams based on capacity and skill needs
• Expertise defining and implement architectural principles and methodologies
• An Agile mindset, with opinions on how to shift from waterfall tendencies to Agile methodologies
• Track record of successfully articulating and executing on an organization vision and strategy in a way that connects with the company strategy and inspires individuals at all levels

Compensation range

Based on pay transparency guidelines, a reasonable expectation for the salary range for this role is $209,000-313,000 USD Annually. Information on our competitive total rewards package, including our benefits can be found here.  Individual salaries are determined by evaluating a variety of factors including geography, cost of labor, experience, skills, education, and internal equity.
