As the Director of Engineering for these teams, you will be responsible for the end-to-end product experience on mobile devices, as well as the full-stack messaging and notifications features across all clients. You will partner with your product peers to define a holistic mobile-first strategy and roadmap to ensure the highest quality user experience and power growth. Your Responsibilities:
Overall, you are responsible for leading the technical development of the organization and ensuring that the software engineering team is able to deliver high-quality products that meet the needs of customers and stakeholders.
What it takes to catch our eye:
The annual base salary for this position in California and Washington ranges from $184,000 - $293,000. The range displayed reflects the minimum and maximum salary for this position in California and Washington, and individual base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Additionally, this position is eligible for the annual bonus plan or sales incentive plan and eligibility to participate in our long term equity incentive program.

Your Responsibilities:
Overall, you are responsible for leading the technical development of the organization and ensuring that the software engineering team is able to deliver high-quality products that meet the needs of customers and stakeholders.
- Leading the software engineering team and setting the technical direction for the organization
- Collaborating with other departments such as product management, design, and operations to ensure alignment of engineering efforts with overall business goals
- Managing the development and release of software products, including scheduling and coordinating the work of the engineering teams
- Overseeing the quality, performance, and scalability of the software products, including monitoring and analyzing performance metrics to identify areas for improvement
- Continuously improving software development processes and engineering best practices, such as code reviews, testing, and incident management
- Building and maintaining a high-performing team by recruiting, mentoring, and developing team members
- Keeping up-to-date with industry trends and technologies to identify new and emerging opportunities for the organization
What it takes to catch our eye:
- You have delivered consumer products at scale across web and mobile clients
- You have designed and built microservice-based cloud apps and tuned for low-latency and high-reliability
- You have delivered native mobile applications at scale
- You have delivered real-time messaging services
- You have led teams of 25-75 software engineers with multiple layers of management
- You have been responsible for executive-level communication regarding your teams
