This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Director of Engineering - REMOTE. This is a crucial leadership role aimed at managing and scaling the engineering organization to support a range of hospital pharmacy intelligence products. You will have the opportunity to influence technical decisions while fostering a culture that attracts and retains top engineering talent. Your leadership will help shape a high-performing engineering team, while effectively navigating challenges during growth and integration phases. This role is vital in ensuring the timely delivery of quality products across various hospital systems.
Accountabilities
Lead multiple product engineering teams building multi-tenant, enterprise SaaS for hospital customers — owning the people, the process, and the outcomes.Build and sustain a high-performing engineering culture: develop engineering managers, drive accountability, and create clear paths for growth at every level.Partner with Product leadership to maintain technical health, manage delivery risk, and ensure products ship with quality and predictability.Drive cross-team collaboration — improving reuse, shared ownership, and alignment across engineering and internal platform teams.Mature our engineering practices: planning, architectural decision records (ADRs), documentation, quality, and engineering metrics (delivery, developer experience, reliability).Own and manage cloud infrastructure costs at the team and product level.Lead or support integration of acquired engineering teams — setting standards, building trust, and accelerating time-to-cohesion.Participate in technical and architectural reviews, setting a high bar across your teams.Requirements
12+ years building enterprise SaaS products, with at least 5 years leading engineering organizations through growth.Proven experience leading distributed, remote-first engineering teams of 20+ through engineering managers.Track record of scaling engineering organizations: hiring, developing managers, building career frameworks, and managing performance with clarity and empathy.Experience leading post-acquisition integrations — bringing teams into a culture without losing what made them good.Strong operator: you understand engineering metrics, can diagnose delivery problems, and know how to fix them without micromanaging.Deep partnership instincts — you build high-trust relationships with Product, Data, and Devops peers and know how to navigate tension constructively.Experienced managing cloud costs at scale; comfortable in AWS-first architectures.High EQ with a track record of leading through ambiguity, driving change, and saying no with clarity and respect.Exemplifies core values: Get Stuff Done, Join Forces, Honor the Customer, Redefine Possible, and Have Fun.Benefits
