You're an experienced engineering leader who understands that in the world of cloud-based services, building software only gets you to the starting line. Shipping, operating, and supporting those services is the race. You obsess over delighting customers but aren't afraid to make difficult tradeoffs and decisions. You have more than a few years of experience in a fast-paced development environment and are passionate about talent and team building.
As Director of Engineering for our flagship identity security product, IdentityNow, you will be responsible for the success of building and supporting this SaaS product. You will develop the people, processes, and tools that ensure the reliability, resiliency, and performance of a complex product suite built by a globally distributed team that's processing tens of billions of events annually. Leading multiple teams of talented Software Engineers and Engineering Managers, you will work closely with Product Managers; Designers; Software, DevOps, and Reliability Engineers, and other Engineering leaders to continuously evolve the scale and capabilities of our products and platform while consistently increasing the value we deliver to our customers.
You will report to our Senior Director of Engineering. This is a remote role with occasional travel to Austin, TX.

Requirements
- 7+ years in an engineering leadership role, preferably working on a SaaS product at scale, with demonstrable experience managing other managers.
- Has been responsible for overall design, development, quality, performance, scale, observability and security of the application.
- Successful engineering and deployment of industry strength SaaS solutions in an Agile product environment ensuring compliance to SDLC guidelines
- Has experience in modern technologies (e.g. microservices, docker, Kubernetes, Java, Spring, Springboot, etc) and RDMS & NoSQL databases (e.g. PostgreSQL) along with CI/CD tooling e.g. Github enterprise, Jenkins, etc.
- Able to lead the Incident Commander responsibilities: diagnose, resolve, and prevent production issues potentially leading to system outages
- Proven ability to influence and manage relationships across a geographical distributed organization and gain the respect of world class Engineers and influencers
- Empathy for the challenges of software development and active interest in overcoming these challenges through software development, training and solution support
- Ability to look at the big picture and takes the initiatives.
- SaaS experience is an absolute must- mature, nimble, scaling SaaS products focused on growth
- BS in Computer Science or related technical field or equivalent professional experience.
