Job Description
Fluidra is seeking a Director of Epicor Applications that will join the team at our East Coast office in Newnan, GA.
WHAT YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE
Reporting to the Director of IT, the Director of Epicor Applications will be responsible for leading all Epicor ERP implementations, system maintenance, updates, analytics, and business reporting as well as optimization of the system to deliver on the overall business strategy for all companies under the Fluidra NA with present or future Epicor implementations. This person is responsible for providing hands-on leadership to the North American Epicor Application team in selecting, implementing, and supporting system applications that will meet the business needs of Finance, Sales, Marketing, Customer Service, Engineering, Supply Chain, Human Resources, Purchasing and Operations. It is critical that solutions identified for each of these groups within scope align around the global corporate initiatives and business priorities and fit into an application framework that is extensible as the company grows. It will be critical to be proactive in demonstrating a thorough understanding of each business area, the processes, issues and competitive challenges that each area faces.
The incumbent is also responsible for building and mentoring the team and will also work closely with the IT executive staff and regional leadership team to identify, recommend, develop, implement, and support Epicor technology solutions for all aspects of the regional organization, Additionally, you will:
- Manage Epicor ERP strategy across sites within the Fluidra NA umbrella working directly with the leadership and technical teams at each site.
- Configure and test ERP to perform specific functionality to satisfy business requirements - Own full site implementations and upgrades, which include pilot testing, data validation, development of data transformation rules and governance procedures, and post implementation support. Analyze and solve business problems at their root, stepping back to understand the broader context: Direct development of customized solutions within ERP using object-oriented programing language C#.
- Owning ERP and SQL databases. Responsible for all SQL (database) related technical issues and in charge of designing, creating, and implementing custom reports, dashboards, Business Process management (BPM)s and Business Activity Queries (BAQ’s).
- Builds strong relationships that engage the business proactively in developing strategic and technical direction as to how to effectively apply Epicor technologies to the business and deliver ROI on technology investments.
- Modernize and rationalize existing software portfolio to maximize return and value.
- Provide excellent business partnership and proactive support.
- Provide leadership in the application selection process, implementation planning and delivery, as well as production management of the applications.
- Provide oversight and planning related to the management of applications projects, enhancement, and support.
- Manage effective product knowledge transfer for smooth transition from project implementation to sustaining support.
- Plan, organize and lead local projects, initiatives and teams. Ensure that all projects within the purview of this role are delivered in a timely manner and within expected cost and risk parameters.
- Administer and control the application team budget to contribute to a cost-effective operation.
- Manage local strategic partnerships and vendor relationships, including critical outside consultant/outsourcing providers.
- Assume overall responsibility for ensuring all organizational policies, procedures and processes are compliant with organizational and statutory requirements, including Sarbanes Oxley.
- Direct, develop and provide management oversight to a team of internal and external resources.
- Liaise with other application and development teams within the Fluidra organization to add value and coordinate efforts.
- Requires travel 10%-20% of the time.
Strategy & Planning
- Lead Epicor Applications team operational planning and projects, including the organization and negotiation of allocating IT resources.
- Work with stakeholders to define business and systems requirements for new technology implementations.
- Ensure the efficient utilization of IT resources, including personnel across the organization.
- Oversee all reports and documentation related to Epicor operations.
- Develop maintenance schedules for Epicor environments.
- Conduct system feasibility studies and testing.
Acquisition & Deployment
- Develop business case justifications and cost/benefit analyses for IT spending and initiatives as it relates to Epicor application systems.
- Conduct research and remain current with the latest technologies and solutions in support of implementation efforts.
Operational Management
- Manage operations staffing, including recruitment, supervision, scheduling, development, evaluation, and disciplinary actions.
- Establish and maintain regular written and in-person communications with the organization’s executives, department heads, and end users regarding pertinent IT activities.
- Oversee operations-related projects and project portfolio.
- Assist in the provisioning of end-user services, including technical support services.
WHAT WE SEEK
- 12+ years in increasing responsibility of hands-on and leadership experience in information technology gained with companies respected for their well-managed information systems.
- Demonstrated success with multiple Business Systems implementations and 8+ years of day-to-day experience working within the Epicor suite of products and 5+ years of management experience.
- Excellent understanding of the organization’s goals and objectives.
- In-depth knowledge of applicable data privacy practices and laws.
- Strong understanding of human resource management principles, practices, and procedures.
- Strong understanding of project management principles.
- Demonstrated professionalism including exceptional skills at leading, planning, organizing and controlling.
- Ability to partner effectively with IT and business management. Ability to work seamlessly between strategic and tactical levels of operation.
- Must have extensive background in business processes and technology best practices, with a very strong capacity to understand and analyze business requirements and develop/apply technology solutions.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills that clearly convey information and ideas to subordinates, peers and next level management. Ability to effectively communicate processes, procedures and expectations to peers and subordinates.
- Must have demonstrated experience managing vendors, contracts, and budgets.
- Ability to interface with all levels of employees in the organization including leading effective teams and influencing peers to achieve measurable results. Ability to change the thinking of, or gain acceptance from, others in sensitive situations, without damaging the relationship.
- Must demonstrate a strong track record of delivering results.

EDUCATION
- Bachelor’s degree in information technology or another related field
