Responsibilities:

Xyngular's Director of Events is responsible for creating a strategic event plan that drives sales and partner engagement, with measurable ROI. You will be overseeing our events team to ensure successful planning, coordination and completion of events each year according to the specifications, resources, deadlines and budgets assigned. The ideal candidate can work efficiently and effectively with multiple internal and external stakeholders to define project objectives, create project plans, secure resources and oversee quality control throughout the entire project.

To succeed in this role, you will need to be self-motivated, dynamic, assertive, diplomatic, and able to 'get stuff done'. You are highly organized and detail-oriented and have amazing communication and people engagement skills to build relationships at all levels in the organization.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Develop a comprehensive corporate events strategy with an emphasis on deepening partner engagement and growing company presence.
  • Drive all aspects of planning, execution, and measurement to maximize business outcomes, distributor engagement, and return on investment.
  • Collaborate with Senior Leaders to develop event-related content to ensure alignment with company initiatives.
  • Collaborate with Marketing and Sales on event marketing strategies to drive attendance.
  • Lead the events team to drive all aspects of planning, execution, and event production.
  • Lead event/project scope and strategy including staffing requirements, program plans, budget, event registration and collaborating on initiatives to promote the events.
  • Negotiate contracts with all events-related companies and vendors to leverage total company spending and meet established budgets.
  • This role will require travel and face-to-face interactions with distributors, vendors, and employees.
  • Apply best practices and learnings from previous events to elevate delivery of future events.
  • Create a warm, welcoming, and exciting event for our partners depending on the type of event which could range from a small fly-in event to a semiannual convention.
  • Ensure training, development, and performance management of the events team.
  • Manage project budget and annual events budget.

Competencies:

  • Previous event management experience required
  • Direct selling industry experience desired
  • Able to employ effective Project Management skills to keep projects organized and on track (Agile experience Is a plus)
  • Ability to execute on several events simultaneously
  • Skilled in the ability to adhere to a budget and make critical decisions based on the P&L Budget
  • Proven ability in setting priorities and proposing new strategies to ensure event delivery
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with an ability to adapt and connect with a broad range of internal and external audiences
  • Ability to assess complex situations and facilitate solutions in a collaborative manner
  • Can-do attitude and ability to continuously adapt and learn in changing environments
  • Superior attention to detail
