Your Opportunity
The Stantec GenerationAV™ team has a job opening for an individual to lead sales and support business development for its growing product and service offerings. Stantec GenerationAV's mission is to develop and deploy tools and technology that accelerate widespread adoption of automated vehicles. We do this by developing, testing, and deploying AV related planning, assessment, and consulting services and products. Our vision is to create a safer, cleaner, more equitable AV world for future generations through comprehensive education, strategic connections, and smart, fit-for-purpose deployments.
The ideal candidate is a highly motivated proven sales leader who will improve our external sales processes, increase our sales pipeline volume and value and convert prospects to captured revenue.
Your Key Responsibilities
Provide Stantec Sales strategy and support including but not limited to:
- Publish and communicate sales plans and strategies for developing business and achieving quarterly and annual sales goals
- Define sales processes that drive desired sales outcomes and identify improvements where and when required
- Provide detailed and accurate sales forecasting and performance against
- Compile information and data related to customer and prospect interactions
- Identify GenerationAV™ (GenAV) direct opportunities, leading sales presentations, follow up, and close for GenAV projects and offerings
- Work closely with the marketing and channel sales teams to ensure effective and efficient sales support and alignment to channel and partner programs
- Manage key customer relationships and participate in closing strategic opportunities
- Manage the external sales team, operations and resources to deliver profitable growth
- Define optimal sales force structure
- Hire and develop sales staff
- Define and coordinate sales training programs that enable staff to achieve their potential and support company sales objectives
- Travel for in-person meetings with customers and partners and to develop key relationships
- Participate in conferences, exhibitions, and industry meet-ups for business development
- Create and maintain annual sales budget including marketing collateral, training, conference fees and travel
Your Capabilities and Credentials
- Successful experience building a go-to-market strategy and corporate sales plan
- Successful experience selling autonomous vehicle or other related products and services
- Successful experience monitoring and evaluating sales progress against stated expectations, in addition to aligning and changing behavior with performance expectations
- Successful experience managing a team of 5 salespeople
- Experience managing key customer relationships and closing strategic opportunities
- Successful experience utilizing a CRM to manage team sales tasks, pipeline, and closing data
- Successful experience hiring and onboarding sales representatives
- Successful experience building and managing a territory (including multiple sectors or geographies if necessary)
- Proven experience working within a start-up and large company environments
- Experience providing status reports with market and customer feedback to the corporate leadership team
- Demonstrated ability in all aspects of sales leadership
- Ability to provide positive leadership
- Ability to develop a positive team environment
- Ability to apply critical thinking skills to develop innovative solutions
- Ability to direct and execute highly complex or specialized projects
- Ability to anticipate and identify client needs and synthesize them into concepts and solutions leveraging GenerationAV™ products/offerings
- Attention to detail
- Strong Communication, interpersonal skills as applied to interaction with coworkers, supervisor, and clients, etc. sufficient to exchange or convey information and to receive work direction
- Ability to effectively organize, plan, prioritize, and manage time and competing priorities
- Experience working in the Autonomous Vehicle industry is a benefit
- Bachelor's or master's degree with a concentration in marketing, promotions, advertising sales, or business administration. MBA preferred.
- 10 years of sales, marketing, communications, and/or brand management experience. Working experience around connected, automated and other advanced mobility solutions
