Job Summary:

 The Director of Family Programming  will develop strategic and comprehensive family programming that engages the caregivers and loved ones of our patients in the recovery process and provides the tools to help them become powerful agents of change. The role assures effective and supportive services are available and being utilized by patient caregivers. The Director of Family Programming also provides the multidisciplinary team with supervision and perspective from their strong foundation in understanding of core family dynamics and family systems, as well as understanding of the functionality eating disorders serve in the lives of the people they affect.

Major Areas of Responsibility:

  • Facilitate groups for prospective families, families of current clients, and groups that include loved ones and patients.
  • Tracks family engagement, program quality and program growth.
  • Provides weekly group supervision to clinicians needing support in their family therapy and engagement.
  • Assists teams with challenging family dynamics. Provides direct support to the families of patients.
  • Facilitates and assures that each patient family is offered orientation in the first week of their loved one’s admission.
  • Excellent people skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communications abilities, including demonstrated ability to make effective oral and written presentations, and edit written and visual communication.
  • Critical thinking skills and the ability to communicate in an articulate and persuasive manner.
  • Excellent organizational skills; ability to prioritize and handle multiple projects in order to meet deadlines.
  • Calm demeanor under pressure and deadlines.
  • Close attention to detail.
  • 2-3 years of progressive, proven experience working on a team, in a role involving coordinating with multiple departments and some exposure to marketing.
  • Proven track record in delivering results against objectives.
  • Capacity to grasp and communicate vision to a broad spectrum of constituencies.
  • Demonstrated skill as a networker or connector.
  • Maintain a small client caseload as requested.
  • Other duties as required.

Qualifications: 

  • Must possess experience working with Eating Disorder clients.
  • Proven experience managing clinical charts and compliance.
  • Experience in clinical program management.
  • Excellent knowledge of standards and regulations for the clinical field.
  • Proficient in Google Workspace and computer systems (e.g. patient management software).
  • Excellent communication and people skills.
  • Exceptional organizational and leadership skills.
  • Aptitude in resolving issues and conflicts and demonstrated ability to make timely decisions.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to excellent care and is passionate about professional development.
  • Respect and maintain the confidentiality of all client information.
  • 5+ years experience in managing employees including performance and day to day operational oversight in a clinical setting.
  • Background in nursing, care management or clinical operations is a plus.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Demonstrated leadership, and team-building skills.
  • Strong organization and project management skills; ability to prioritize, organize, plan, and implement services as well as handle multiple projects/problems simultaneously.
  • Self-starter with a strong sense of ownership and ability to work autonomously.
  • Desire to work at an early-stage startup and comfortable with associated uncertainty and rolling-up your sleeves to get things done.
  • Proficiency in HIPAA, and CMS regulatory requirements.
  • BA/BS degree or higher.
  • This role is remote and can be performed anywhere in the United States.

Physical and Environmental Requirements:

  • Employees are required to read, review, prepare and analyze written data and figures, using a computer or similar, and should possess visual acuity.
  • This position answers and places telephone calls as well as video conferences and must be able to converse.
  • Must be able to converse with colleagues via telephone and computer programs.
  • Must be able to operate a computer and navigate applications within a smart-phone, iPhone, MacBook computer and/or tablet.
  • Able to sit for the majority of shifts.
  • Must have reliable internet connection.
  • This is a work-from-home position.  Work should be performed in a private, quiet space with minimal background noise.
  • Ability to prioritize workload and work independently.

Pay Range: $100-$120k/Year
