The Director of Finance for Ameritas Investment Corp (AIC) and Ameritas Advisory Services (AAS) provides professional management oversight for the financial and regulatory reporting, financial analysis, and other financial support for AIC and AAS. Responsible for thedelivery ofexceptional financial reportingprocesses and reporting for variousconstituentsincluding regulators, management, and the Board of Directors. Provides strongleadership and management direction to an engaged and highly effective team.

What you do

  • Responsible for the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting include GAAP, regulatory and management reporting
  • Complete FINRA filings and monitor all regulatory financial reporting requirements.
  • Ensure overall control environment adheres to regulatory and audit standards
  • Lead, innovative, and direct continuous process improvement
  • Oversee financial close process, production reporting, annual plan and/or other business area process to meet business deadlines
  • Responsible for implementation and analysis of business agreements
  • Directs the reporting and analysis of revenues and expenses for the Enterprise. Works with business partners to understand drivers, metrics, provide insight and enable decisions.
  • Directs the development of annual expense targets and communicates those targets to senior management. Partners with others to develop plans to achieve results throughout the enterprise.
  • Directs and leads special projects aimed at disciplined expense management and revenue growth
  • Direct, oversee and ensure efficient and effective policies, procedures, and accounting operational activities for AIC and AAS.
  • Manage the development of team in their technical and leadership skills through continuous training, coaching and feedback
  • Other duties as assigned


What you bring

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience required
  • 7-10 years of Financial Services experience required
  • 4-7 years of Management experience required
  • FINRA Series 27 license required or obtain within 90 days of hire
  • Broker/Dealer accounting experience highly preferred
