Position Highlights:

The Director of Finance (FD) is responsible for providing operational finance and strategic planning support to the EVP & Chief Business Officer (CBO) of ADT, with a focus on driving profitable and sustainable growth. The FD will lead the financial modeling and analysis of various deal opportunities, and will prepare business cases, present findings, and collaborate on recommendations with the VP of Finance and other executives. The FD leads the development of standardized methodologies/frameworks to review potential deals that ensures clear financial outcomes, consistent baseline comparisons, and accelerates decision-making. The FD collaborates with Sr. Executives on partnership reporting and performance data, ensuring both partners and key stakeholders (BOD, ELT, IR) can assess outcomes. Further, the Director is responsible for developing and managing the monthly business review packages, annual budget, rolling forecasts, and short-term and long-range plans for all functions rolling into the CBO.

The FD will be a collaborative partner and resource for business leaders and will work closely with the senior leadership team on deal economics, partnership reporting, operational reviews, and the financial planning process.

Responsibilities and Qualifications:

STRATEGIC GROWTH

  • Develops framework and leadership to vet high potential partnership opportunities to grow ADT's net subscriber base.
  • Collaborates and partners with leaders across Business Development, Innovation, Product, Sourcing, and other functions to add new partnerships to drive material unit and revenue growth. Includes business case preparation, scenario modeling, and presentation of such cases.
  • Develops framework for ongoing measurement and read-out of completed deals. Collaborates with I.R. and FP&A on presentations of such material to the ELT, BOD, and investors.

OPERATIONAL MANAGEMENT

  • Collaborates with VP Finance, CBO and Sr. Leaders on development of Monthly Business Review (MBR) materials and weekly/monthly scorecards for team. Coordination of OKR's and key metrics for success on a quarterly basis.
  • Responsible for coordinating, reviewing and distributing monthly financial reports and comparisons to budgets and forecasts. Development of R&O's on a quarterly basis and translating into financial outlooks.
  • Collaborates with Sales/Finance teams on unit and RMR forecasts to include inputs from the Business Development and Innovation teams on a routine basis.
  • Collaborates on SOX and ADT policy compliance (audits, compliance, policy) for Business Dev and Product team.

LEADERSHIP

  • Cultivates and inspires employee engagement, discretionary effort, and retention through robust and regular employee communications, role modeling a culture of performance feedback, reward & recognition, and accountability throughout the organization.
  • Provides advocacy for all team members while collaborating directly with BU and functional areas to execute on the overall Business Plan.

Qualifications

Education / Work Experience Required:

  • Bachelor's Degree in either Finance/Accounting or equivalent. MBA or CPA preferred.
  • 10+ years of directly related finance experience required, preferably as a Business Partner for a growth unit of a company.
  • Thorough experience in deal modeling, discounted NPV analysis, M&A models, or the like.
  • Solid leadership collaborating with leaders in a matrix organization to achieve outcomes with urgency and to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Thorough knowledge and understanding of financial and business management principles with the ability to communicate and prioritize business requirements; experience within subscription-based business models specifically attractive.
  • Strong executive presence and presentation skills.
  • Commitment to continuous improvement in a dynamic environment; constantly striving to exceed expectations.
  • Proactive and solution- oriented approach toward business issues.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft products (e.g. Excel [modeling], Word, PowerPoint).
  • Experience with Hyperion products (Essbase/Enterprise).

The salary range for this role is $82,543 - $165,085 and is based on experience and qualifications.

Certain roles are eligible for annual bonus and may include equity. These awards are allocated based on company and individual performance.
