Job Summary
The Federal Reserve Bank of Boston (FRBB) is administering special lending facilities to support lending provided to small and medium-sized businesses due to exigent circumstances caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.
This position reports directly to the AVP - Special Lending Finance, Accounting & Operations and is responsible for overseeing teams responsible for daily accounting and operations functions. This position relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals and requires flexibility and versatility.
Principal Accountabilities
This position is responsible for overseeing teams focused on the daily management of the Main Street Lending Program's operations tracking, responding to complex lender inquiries, daily cash movement, accounting records, periodic reporting, and collaborating with Reserve Bank stakeholders.
Other Accountabilities
Perform other duties as assigned.
Supervision
This position will be required to directly or indirectly supervise others.
Knowledge and Experience
Knowledge and experience normally acquired through, or equivalent to, the completion of a Bachelors' degree in accounting, auditing, and/or bank operations and a minimum of 7 years of job-related experience
Demonstrated team management and project management skills
Excellent qualitative and quantitative analytical skills
Strong written and verbal communications skills
Ability to multi-task and shift priorities on short notice
CPA or financial reporting experience preferred

Principal Accountabilities
This position is responsible for overseeing teams focused on the daily management of the Main Street Lending Program's operations tracking, responding to complex lender inquiries, daily cash movement, accounting records, periodic reporting, and collaborating with Reserve Bank stakeholders.
- Manage the day-to-day operations of Main Street with ongoing loan portfolio activity including lender merger and acquisition updates, lender inquiries, and agreement updates
- Oversight of completeness and accuracy of accounting and periodic reporting including year-end audited financial statements
- Oversee maintenance of policies and procedures for the management of Main Street's operations and accounting functions
- Support the AVP - Special Lending Finance, Accounting & Operations with project management coordination and communication
- Directly manage medium size projects or phases in a project as requested
- Oversee maintenance of existing reporting or development of new reporting specific to the needs of Main Street's daily operational requirements
- Provide support as needed pertaining to communications and presentations to the broader Main Street team and Governance committees
- Partner with Local and National finance teams to ensure the appropriate integration into budgets, forecasts and consolidated financial results
- Manage other related efforts, such as technical accounting research, guidance implementation, financial reporting disclosure requirements, procedure enhancements and process streamlining
- Oversee reference rate reform transition
- Additional areas of focus include project management, working cross-functionally with groups such as risk and controls, Reserve Bank accounting, Reserve Bank legal, Reserve Bank corporate communications, and Board of Governors
