Job Summary:

The Director of Finance and Operations will play a pivotal role in overseeing and optimizing the financial and operational functions of the company. This position is best fit for a strategic thinker with a strong background in both operations management and financial analysis, preferably within the cryptocurrency industry. A successful candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive efficiency, financial performance, and scalability.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities:

1. Financial Management:

- Develop and manage the company's financial strategy including but not limited to budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.

- Conduct regular financial assessments to identify areas for improvement and cost optimization.

- Manage relationships with financial institutions and oversee cash flow, investments, coin sales, and financial reporting.

- Oversee accounting team comprised of fractional controller and bookkeeper.

- Ensure strong internal controls are in place and followed at all times.

2. Operational Leadership:

- Develop and implement operational strategies to streamline processes, enhance productivity, and ensure scalability.

- Collaborate with department heads to align operations with overall business objectives.

- Oversee day-to-day operations, ensuring compliance with industry regulations and best practices.

3. Cryptocurrency Industry Expertise:

- Stay informed about industry trends, regulatory changes, and emerging technologies in the cryptocurrency industry.

- Provide insights and recommendations regarding the financial implications of blockchain initiatives and cryptocurrency transactions.

4. Risk Management:

- Identify and assess potential operational and financial risks, developing strategies to mitigate them.

- Work with legal and compliance teams to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements.

- Participate in annual review of insurance policies to ensure proper coverage.

5. People Operations:

• Oversee human resources team and related initiatives.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
• Proven experience (5+ years) in a leadership role overseeing finance and operations, preferably in the cryptocurrency industry.
• In-depth knowledge of cryptocurrency markets and related financial instruments.
• Strong financial modeling, analysis, and reporting skills.
• Exceptional strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
