The role:

The Director, FP&A will partner with the business to build and scale the company and deliver profitable growth.  The right candidate will be energized, primed and ready for an exciting challenge.

What you'll do:

• Planning & Forecasting
  • Propose and align annual financial budget process
  • Partner with departments to execute planning process steps
  • Prepare templates, consolidate budgets, organize review sessions and ensure final budget is loaded in systems
  • Work with department stakeholders to prepare year-to-go financial forecast scenarios and make recommendations for cross-functional actions to address risks and opportunities

• Reporting
• Prepare weekly sales report and P&L for presentation at our Weekly Business Review
• Support monthly revenue reconciliation exercise
• Prepare monthly margin volume-rate-mix reports
• Collaborate with the Accounting team on the monthly close and prepare the monthly reporting deck, explaining variances to plan with insights from different departments

• Financial Modeling
• Maintain and upgrade current company three-statement financial model
• Review, propose and implement new planning tool
• Lead Strategic Planning modeling exercises
• Update model structure to model margin volume-rate-mix and new lines of business
• Evaluate opportunities for new lines of business

• Commercial Finance
• Partner with Merchandising, Marketing and Product to develop budgets, forecasts and reports
• Support acquisition and retention efforts, working with business leaders to develop metrics and maintain models
• Provide support for creation and maintenance of scorecards, reporting and overall information as required
• Constantly look for and implement margin improvement opportunities through pricing, value engineering, SKU optimization, etc
• Evaluate profitability of new initiatives

What You’ll Bring:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance or similar field
• 8+ years of demonstrated success in a similar Finance role from CPG, DTC, Ecommerce, Retail or Wholesale required 
• Ability to build three-statement financial models from scratch (required)
• Advanced Excel skills
• Familiarity with Google Workspace applications
• Ability to produce reports and dashboards in Looker preferred but not required; experience with business intelligence tools a must
• Strong knowledge of accounting concepts
• Strong cross-functional collaboration skills
• Excellent written and verbal strategic communication skills
• Comfort working closely with executives and communicating data/insights clearly and concisely
• Appreciation for a high-growth, fast-paced environment with quick pivots from the strategic long-term to day-to-day operations and vice versa
• Very high attention to detail reflected in best-in-class quality work products
• A passion to find and drive profitable growth opportunities, championing a “customer first” mindset
• Ability to implement new processes and systems
• A strong bias to action; no challenge is too great!
