About the team
Dialpad’s Director of Global Enablement, will collaborate closely with sales, customer success, marketing, product and ops professionals around the globe. Global Enablement is responsible for analyzing sales performance, designing initiatives to improve sales productivity, driving and overseeing the sales new hire onboarding process and the knowledge and skillset development of the existing sales force. Dialpad’s Enablement team is more than a dozen skilled people responsible for delivering sales training and enablement activities worldwide.

As the Director of Global Enablement, you will lead an existing team of enablement professionals and scale the effectiveness with which we operate. You are a tenured people leader, who has scaled one or more enablement organizations in the past in a fast-paced tech environment. You love coming into a new challenge, a changed objective, and a laundry list of problems to be solved every single day – and you see that as a job perk, not a problem.
Your success will be measured by your ability to effectively increase the quality and quantity of deals from all of our AEs and AMs, enhance the skillset and measurement of all AEs to drive sales results and to build out true end to end distribution support with enablement for our SDRs and CS organizations.
This position reports to our SVP of Operations and Strategy and has the opportunity to be based in our San Ramon, CA, Phoenix, AZ or Austin, TX offices, or work remotely within the US.Â
What you’ll do
- Conduct organizational analysis to determine the best structure for the Enablement team
- Build sales effectiveness program (scorecards, expectation setting, daily activity levels)
- Design and expand current sales training design and delivery practices to incorporate the most innovative techniques being deployed by role model companies.
- Ensure training initiatives are aligned with company objectives and goals
- Establish and maintain formal and informal key performance indicators to track effectiveness of sales training program and initiatives
- Create effective collaboration and communication channels with the CRO, CMO, CCO, SVP of Product Marketing and VP of SDR in order to provide world class support
- Build a data-centric enablement organization, which makes decisions and investments based on where the metrics lead us
- Partner and build meaningful relationships across Dialpad globally to understand the sales organization’s needs, gain buy-in on Enablement plans, and execute enablement programs
- Occasionally travel to various regions to deliver sales training courses
- Collaborate with sales operations and sales leadership to host annual sales kickoff (global), regional sales meetings (annual), bootcamps, and ongoing training Host and deliver sales training sessions both on general sales skills as well as company and product specific training
Skills you’ll bring
- BA/BS required. MA/MBA preferred
- 6+ years of formal sales training experience
- 2-4 years of Sales and Sales Leadership experience, highly preferred
- 3-4 years leading the training experience/sales enablement for a SaaS sales organization
- Proven project management capabilities
- Strong ability to deliver and facilitate training for small and large groups, both in-person and virtually, across a globally diverse audience base
- Strong reputation working with interdisciplinary teams as being innovative, accountable, reliable, and able to thrive in a constantly changing environment
- Knowledgeable in innovative sales training techniques and overall selling process and lifecycle including identifying prospects, solution selling, negotiation skills, objection handling, meeting management, and post-sale efforts
- Instructional design and curriculum development experience
- Proficient in LMS systems, information learning tools, communities and web conferencing toolsPassion for learning and developing others
- Extraordinary attention to detail
- High level of comfort escalating and presenting to all levels of leadership
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
