Your challenge:
This is a unique opportunity for the right person to join a fast-growing technology company and stand up the procurement function with strong support from the CEO & CFO. We’re looking for an impact player who will roll up their sleeves to develop and lead our procurement efforts, including systems, processes, policies, and analytics as well as sourcing strategy and talent development. This position administers and manages global procurement, spend analysis and contract management programs. They liaise with various lines of business in developing company-wide strategies, global product and service contracts, as well as automated techniques to process, evaluate and optimize spend.
They will be aided in these efforts by the ability to leverage Advent International’s Portfolio Service Group, which leveraged the combined spend of Advent’s 25+ portfolio companies to help ensure optimal terms, conditions and pricing.
Here are some things you’ll tackle:
- Analyze out current state and set direction via Procurement goals, metrics, and work plans to meet organizational goals and objectives
- Increase spend under management through effective stakeholder engagement and positioning Procurement as a business partner
- Envision and drive change by recommending solutions to business problems, identifying opportunities for improvement, and presenting ideas to senior leadership
- Oversee procurement activities for multiple spend categories with a particular focus on information technology, AWS & Azure hosting, and marketing spend.
- Prepare practical business cases that support effective decision-making
- Educate internal customers on best negotiation positions & provide a balanced view of contract risk and liabilities
- Actively manage supplier relationships and drive improvements in cost, risk, and quality of supplier deliverables
- Lead competitive bid and supplier negotiation activities
- Lead and manage the selection and approval of new suppliers
- Work closely with Legal to ensure appropriate supply agreements are in place and support internal customers around monitoring of adherence to the terms of the agreement
- Facilitate effective Contract Management, to include robust document control and monitoring of supplier agreement expiration, termination, or renewal requirements,
- Create, and drive adoption of, best in class sourcing, contract management, procure to pay and spend processes.
- Select and implement new technologies (e.g., ERP modules, card programs, workflow, management reporting)
- Proven ability to adapt and manage effectively in fast-paced changing/transforming environment
Requirements:
- 10-15 years’ experience in Procurement
- In-depth knowledge of relevant spend categories
- Ability to develop detailed project plans and execute against those plans for timely delivery of business results.
- Experience in designing and developing procurement organizations, source to pay processes, category management, supplier performance management and eProcurement systems
- Hands-on experience using ERP software (NetSuite, Oracle, SAP, Coupa, etc.)
- Direct experience building and maintaining a spend database, using tools such as Access, Tableau, or other relevant tool
- Proficient in use of Microsoft Office (Project, Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
- Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Finance, or other related discipline; MBA a plus
- P.M.,CPIM, CPSM, CSCP or other Supply Chain/Procurement related professional certification highly desired
