About the Role:

In your role as the Director of Global Solutions Services, you will leverage your leadership, managerial, supply chain, logistics, and compliance expertise and superb planning and communication skills to expand and drive excellence within our new global services offerings. With an understanding of our business-level strategy, customer needs, and Trace3 growth plans, you will own the development and implementation of global logistics operations for Trace3. This position will work extensively cross-functionally with leaders in Sales, Operations, Marketing, and Finance, to develop and hone the strategy for the Trace3 team and ensure the proper integration of that strategy into our services and back-end business systems.

Additionally, you will leverage your knowledge and network to establish strategic, high-quality logistics partnerships and consistently train and develop an experienced group of logistics team members. In this role, you will ultimately be responsible for our logistics network's capabilities, performance, and cost competitiveness to consistently deliver on time to our customer’s needs while maintaining compliance with all applicable laws and regulations and minimizing cost overages.

What You’ll Do:

• Partner with the SVP of Sales Execution to develop and support Trace3’s new go-to-market strategy for international procurement solutions
• Lead and provide Trace3 sales and GTM teams, and Clients, with sales support, expertise, and deal-closing activities, including building and establishing the offerings that meet client needs for global services and procurement.
• Partner closely with Trace3 Sales, Operation, and Finance Teams to establish and improve International Logistics Operations procedures
• Engage with Clients to provide details of solutions, troubleshoot issues, solve problems, gain Client confidence, ensure exceptional service
• Assist in maintaining import/export compliance requirements
• Partner with Trace3’s Customs Brokers as needed with the International Logistics team
• Where necessary, work with internal Trace3 stakeholders and their customers to obtain the information required to ensure accurate classifications are assigned to Trace3 shipments.
• Train other team members and new hires on import/export compliance matters
• Develop, implement, and maintain corporate policies and procedures
• Negotiate and engage with international shipping carriers
• Help build metrics and KPI’s to drive carrier cost savings
• Develop, write, and publish processes and procedures in the logistics and freight management area to ensure consistent practices relevant to today’s business and industry throughout the supply chain and organization; ensure materials and documents are up-to-date and easy to access.
• Ensure supply chain and logistics teams are equipped with the tools and information to perform their jobs
• Continuously and proactively mitigate risks and costs associated with Trace3's global import/export operations

Qualifications & Interests:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or Supply Chain / Logistics and or minimum of 7 years experience in Operations Management
• Expert-level knowledge of domestic and international logistics and supply chain strategies, processes, and functions needed to support company growth and success.
• Knowledge of import/export regulations and compliance
• Strong process orientation and experience in planning and managing relationships with custom brokers
• Broad knowledge and resource network to address unique logistic needs and opportunities
• Strong negotiation and analytical skills
• Demonstrated ability to grow the operations team and prepare the team for the skills and knowledge needed for future growth
• Successful with the ability to solve problems and make decisions, as well as think laterally and offer creative solutions
• Highly organized and detail-oriented, with excellent time management skills and the ability to effectively prioritize tasks in a fast-paced, high-volume, and evolving work environment.
• Ability to be proactive with customers and sales teams while maintaining a positive, solutions-oriented approach
• Holds valid driver’s license; able to travel when needed
