Your mission:

The overarching goal of the Director of Growth is to enable Thyme Care to extend our model to more members with cancer, improving the lives of our members while reducing costs for our clients.   The Director of Growth helps Thyme Care achieve membership and revenue growth through partnerships with health plans, risk-bearing providers, and employers. As the Director of Growth you will be responsible for nurturing, growing and securing client relationships. You will establish relationships with prospective clients and support the end-to-end business development cycle with your prospective clients. You will identify the unique needs of each individual client and work cross-functionally with internal and external stakeholders to address client needs. In supporting the end-to-end business development cycle, you will gain a deep understanding of Thyme Care’s model and will develop client-facing material to support the sales cycle. You will also identify opportunities to improve our business development processes and champion necessary improvement initiatives.

  • After 3 months you will have…
    • Gotten up to speed on our business, current pipeline, and potential partnerships in the opportunity analysis stage
    • Become an expert in communicating the value proposition of Thyme Care and distilling complex ideas in clear and simple ways to any audience
  • After 6 months you will have…
    • Made several meaningful contributions to enhance our sales process, go-to-market and marketing strategies from your interaction with payers in the marketplace
    • Established close relationships with multiple clients and worked through several steps of the business development cycle with those clients 
    • Established deep relationships with key internal stakeholders and led internal teams through the business development cycle  
  • After 12 months you will have…
    • Increased the number of managed relationships 
    • Worked through at least one full business development cycle with a client 
    • Contributed to pipeline expansion

  • Comfort with travel. You will be expected to meet with our team in Nashville, New York, and with our partners periodically.
  • Creative operator. You’ve been called an entrepreneurial, creative thinker who has a history of using a solutions-oriented approach to business development and external stakeholders management.

As a provider of cancer care navigation, we recognize that those with cancer constitute a vulnerable population at risk of contracting COVID-19.  As such, Thyme Care has adopted a mandatory COVID-19 vaccination policy, requiring all employees to receive a COVID-19 vaccination as a condition of employment, subject only to conflicting laws and approved exemptions based on medical or religious objections. 

Our salary ranges are based on paying competitively for our size and industry, and are one part of the total compensation package that also includes equity, benefits, and other opportunities at Thyme Care. Individual pay decisions are based on a number of factors, including qualifications for the role, experience level, skillset, geography, and balancing internal equity relative to other Thyme Care employees. In accordance with New York City law, the base salary for this role if filled within New York City is $160,000-$180,000. The salary range could be lower or higher than this if the role is hired in another location. We also believe that your personal needs and preferences should be taken into consideration so we allow some choice between equity and cash.
